The Garden Hotel is a historical building on Andrassy Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Heroes' Square. The location is very convenient.
The room is not big and has a small balcony. The facilities are basically OK. I was a little surprised to find that the wash basin in the bathroom was installed backwards (see picture).
The front desk is dark and cramped, not the kind of dark that is full of warm light and stylish, so the first impression is a pity. The front desk service is not polite.
Breakfast is average, with limited food choices.

I was left with mixed feelings
We had a deluxe room, but the ventilation was broken — it was humming in the bathroom non-stop, it was incredibly annoying
When we asked to solve the problem, the manager replied that he couldn't do anything and offered a room of a lower category, but this didn't suit us, so the problem remained unsolved
The room itself is spacious, the bed is large, the pillows are really cool (low), the mattress is comfortable/comfortable for sleeping, but the decor is tired — stains on the chairs, unwashed curtains, the walls are dirty
Little storage space
Probably not 4 stars, but weak 3
Buffet breakfast — normal
I can't recommend it, for this amount, I think you can find more interesting options
I definitely won't go back

Upsides - Room was very nice and modern although surprised not to find any phone charging sockets. Bathroom and shower were modern and clean. - we had room facing onto the road and the windows were super at keeping out the noise and cold - nice little bar to have a quick drink after day of sight seeing - location was ok, near Széchenyi Thermal Bath and metro line. Downsides - We arrived at 10pm with two teenagers. We had approached and were chatting with the guy at reception when a guest came from behind us with a query. The guest politely said he would wait until we were checked in but the reception desk guy insisted on dealing with him first which took a good 10 minutes. Why ? - Breakfast is not great. There is limited choice and quantity on the buffet so much so that we chose to eat out on the 3rd morning. They don't replenish when dishes are empty and we were down around 9.30 each morning. Also breakfast room is in the basement and is dull. -Location is ok, walking distance to Széchenyi Thermal Bath and there is a metro line less than a minute away. However a better location would be closer to the river but i guess you pay more then

I had an amazing stay at the Alice Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with a selection of healthy food and drink.was a Perfect location and a very nice hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. For anyone looking for a place to stay in Budapest, I would highly recommend the Alice Hotel.

Beautiful hotel conveniently located at the top of Andrassy Ut 2 mins from Heroes Square. Close to metro tram & bus stops. Bedroom (with aircon) was really comfortable with great bathroom - spotlessly clean and refreshed daily by wonderful housekeeping staff. The only thing that was missing from the room was a mini fridge - it was extremely hot when we were there and we would have liked to be able to keep some cold water in a fridge. Public areas again are spotlessly clean and airconned, reception and restaurant staff were really lovely and helpful. There is a nice terrace to relax on. Breakfast is included and there was a great choice of fresh fruits, meats, pastries and cooked breakfast. We have stayed at several hotels in Budapest and the Alice is our favourite and we hope to come back.
