Lovely first-time lunch here after chilly but sunny walk in the New Forest. Very impressed with the friendly service, and the food was good as well. I had the pie of the day which was delicious, followed by the vanilla parfait (equally delicious). Definitely a place to consider again.

We had a lovely stay here. So Christmassy but even other times of year would be so cosy felt homely. Reception lady was very welcoming and accommodating I asked if possibility to check in early and we were able to check in an hour early. the room was decorated lovely and really felt like a retreat away from it all. Fires and Christmas trees. We ate in the restaurant and all the food was hot and delicious and service was very good waitress passing regularly and food came quick. Location was very central for village visits and walks it was tough to choose whether to go out for walks or just stay in the hotel and relax with wine! We are already planning our next trip back

We would like to say a big thankyou to Julie and Dawn whom looked after us at breakfast time. Two very attentive, happy ladies and nothing was to much trouble. Thus made breakfast very enjoyable and relaxed. It was a pleasure to meet the ladies, Great service ladies look forward to seeing you in the new year! Merry Christmas to all at the white buck. we had an amazing stay for our first wedding anniversary. This country pub was exactly what we were after, it was in a perfect location, great interior, lots of space but still cosy. our room was a good size, very clean with some very kind touches - beer and biscuits. we were in a dog friendly room, zero issues with anything and there was a lovely little care package for our pooch. We had a fantastic meal, everything we ate was good, great service and a great selection of drinks. we ate elsewhere on our second night but wished we hadn't! breakfast each morning was very good, nice selection of hot food and also cereals etc to help yourself to. everyone we encountered (staff and guests) were friendly and chatty. we can't wait to come back again!

A warm and welcoming environment with great food and great staff. The room was beautiful with tasteful decor and great views of the New Forest. Breakfast was appetising with varied choices and Julie and Dawn were friendly waiting staff who clearly enjoyed their job

Lovely friendly hotel. We stayed with our 2 young girls. Couldn’t fault our stay. Staff were incredibly helpful and polite. Couldn’t do enough for you. We had an evening meal here and breakfast, the food was delicious and well presented. Would highly recommend, perfect for families

Spent a couple of days, which provided a good location for exploring the New Forest. The room was really comfortable with all the amenities needed. All of the staff we interacted were great, really friendly and personable. Breakfast were good but unfortunately the other food we ate in the restaurant was not.
