A beautiful room in a beautiful setting but let down by a few details, which you wouldn't expect given the cost of the room. We were upgraded to one of the suites and the room was stunning. However though there was a tantalising label describing them, there were no choc chip cookies to be had. It was extremely hot the night we stayed. There was no means of opening any of the windows, three were veux roof windows but they weren't electric and there was no pole to open them with either. We propped the door open for a bit but couldn't leave it open as the room wouldn't have been secure. Eventually I found a Dyson fan in a dark corner. Then I had to hunt for a socket, eventually finding one behind a piece of furniture. It was very dusty behind there and the fan itself was very dusty too. Perhaps provide opening poles and an extension lead or ensure it's clean behind furniture if your guests might need to get there. The bath room was immaculate and bed spotlessly clean. It's a shame those few details took the shine off a bit. Food in the restaurant in the evening was absolutely delicious. However in the morning, I think our breakfasts weren't brought out as soon as they were ready, my poached eggs were cold ,my Dad's bacon had got hard and chewy and his, what would have been lovely runny egg yolk had started to congeal. Staff were all very welcoming and attentive.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay near Bristol but want a countryside feel, the Langford Inn is a standout choice. The rooms are beautifully appointed with quality fixtures and fittings, the service is excellent, and the food is great. We stayed recently for one night and our needs were complex with strict dietary issues, but Miles went over and above board to ensure our stay was just perfect.

Good news is the rooms were lovely and Sophie saved you with her helpfulness and smily face. Bad news, the food. You should be ashamed. Your roast was embarrassing. Four small deep fried potatoes, a spoon full of cabbage and what resembled a roast chicken leg, which was deep fried out of existence! We sent it back. Out came another spoonful of cabbage and 2 slices of carrot! That cost us £22.50. We only accepted it as it was late and we were hungry having travelled to Bristol that day. Your webb site gives the wrong impression of having 5% off of food. Also, when I asked one of the waitresses what the roast came with she assured me 3 seasonal veg! Also, when I booked, I was told as we were members we could get 2 courses for 1. Also this same waitress confirmed this was the case. Incorrect information. We felt totally emarrassed having been given the wrong information. As well as this, if this isn’t enough, we had to move rooms as there was no electricity in our given room. Not a good start to our membership I'm sure you will agree. We are sure you will consider compensating us to alleviate our embarrassment and further improve our relationship. Thank you. I really enjoyed my stay here — the hotel is high-quality, clean, and well set up. Everything we needed was available and the overall standard felt excellent. There were just a couple of things that took away from the experience. When I turned the heating on, the heater gave off a very strong smell, so I had to turn it off, which made the room less comfortable. Also, we arrived very early in the morning (around 5 a.m.) and only stayed for about 6 hours before check-out at 11. Breakfast was included in the rate (around £100), but we were too tired to use it. I tried messaging several times to ask about a late check-out — even just one extra hour, and I was happy to pay for it — but unfortunately I never received a response.  For the price, I felt this was disappointing. Overall, it’s a great hotel with high standards, but better communication about small requests like late check-out would make the experience better

My husband and I stayed one night in the Sandford room, which was spacious, warm and quiet. We dined in the restaurant and the food was beautifully presented and very tasty. The bed was extremely comfortable and we both had a good night's sleep. We wished we had stayed longer, but we'll be back!

We had a lovely weekend at this well presented old country pub. The staff were all very good and the service level provided was excellent. We had dinner and breakfast and both meals were of a very high standard. The room was very good, a large bathroom with large shower. all the little extras in the room that make for a very pleasant stay. The area around Langford Inn is great for walking. All in in cant fault our weekend stay at all.

The pluses: the rooms . It feels like no expense has been spared in the refurb of the pub's rooms. On opening the Langford Suite's door, there was a definite need to say wow. And it feels like value for money. Just gorgeous. The same goes for the pub's interior and lovely courtyard /garden area. Having breakfast out there - such a treat. The food is brilliant. The menu reads like fairly simple pub grub, but it's cooked and presented SO well, that it's really a highlight. Flavourful and nicely presented. The Breakfast menu is both a delight and also a bargain if you're staying there. You can have anything and everything off an extensive menu ( just one item has a small supplement) . Again, good quality and beautifully presented. Very few minuses - but worth a mention. The room and pub were spotless, apart from a couple of glaring issues. The glass on the doors into the bar were covered in fingerprints and the beams in Langford were literally white with dust when the sun shone in them. Both easy fixes. The welcome on arrival was lukewarm, although all the other staff were great. We were checked in and shown to our room efficiently, but in a really cursory way. Any attempt at conversation was rebuffed with monosyllables and it felt like the lady in charge was so sick of seeing a stream of new faces that any effort at customer service and a bit of charm had worn off long ago. Not The welcome I would expect from anywhere.

All staff we met were very friendly cheery and helpful. The food was great and the room very clean and comfortable. So close to silver zone parking at the airport that it made stopping overnight at the Langford a great decision rather than a ridiculously early start.
