I stayed at the Bull Inn for one night. A warm welcome from the manager. I was aware that the restaurant does not open on a Monday, which was no problem at all. The room was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice. All in all my experience was positive and I would definitely return should I be visiting the area again.

Very clearly modernised which has left this place soul-less. A quiet location, with a huge courtyard with ample parking, the rooms have some quality aspects with warm duvets and bedding but the smallest bottles of shampoo i have ever seen. No tissues, No hand soap. Room decoration is forgetable, with itty bitty shelves displaying a gin bottle (empty). As an hotel, I am very unsure whether it can ever be busy. To be closed on Mondays, will not encourage business travellers - especially when you need to drive and there is no other pub in the village Breakfast is OK/average.

Judging from other reviews it looks like we were either very unlucky or the usual chef was not available. All 3 of our meals were a disappointment. Usually a safe choice to have fish and chips but the chips (large wedge) potatoes tasted odd and as if just boiled and were inedible for all of us plus the peas were hard (that’s a first) as I expect they were frozen but not boiled for long enough. We stayed overnight and they redeemed themselves a bit with a very good full English breakfast.

Stayed 3 nights at end of June as touring base / seeing friends. Rooms are set in quite courtyard, mine was perfectly clean / adequate and quiet. No daily room service but wasn't bothered by that. Staff in pub restaurant were very friendly , special mention to the lady in charge in the evenings. Breakfast did the job, restaurant food in the evening excellent, with good variety.. Very competitively priced. Would return and definitely recommend.
