Excellent friendly hotel reasonably close to the Eurotunnel. Great spot for launching a long drive. Delicious food and very safe car parking. Recommended in all aspects , the staff, rooms, closeness to the autoroute but quiet too. Excellent value for money.

Luxury hotel in a modified 19th Century château with modern extensions. Set in large gardens, in part of which vegetables are grown for the restaurants. We had one of the least expensive rooms, which was spacious, modern, comfortable, quiet and well supplied. Oddly no milk in the refrigerator for the Nespresso but staff happy to provide some. We didn't try the spa or pool nor had use for EV charging. Maybe another time. Friendly staff.

Beautiful grounds. Very comfortable modern room. Helpful staff made check in and check out stress free. Dinner at Côté Jardin in the open area with barbecue in the background was very enjoyable. Didn’t have time to use the spa area and pool.

I give only three stars because we were expecting more from a Relais et Chateau establishment at €400/night. We've stayed in places at half the price that were equally well-equipped and comfortable. We stayed in the new, modern part (rooms 23-29), and the room was spacious with huge windows, and a small terrace with a table and two very uncomfortable chairs overlooking the river. But: at that price, one would expect more than one comfortable chair in the room. There's plenty of room for one! Maybe we should have asked. Also, and very important: the toilet, although separate from the bathroom, was too high!! I often resorted to a walk down the hall to the toilets for the restaurant patrons, just so that my feet could touch the floor. Why so high?!? And this is something not easily fixed. Bathroom was nice, with double sink and excellent shower. But not having brought any body lotion, thinking "it's Relais et Chateau", I was disappointed in the toiletries. Breakfast: A bit of a rip-off at €35 per person per day. I get that the ingredients are all locally sourced and of high quality, but come on. Having said all that, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed visiting La Fermette to meet the donkeys, goats, geese, chickens, sheep, ducklings. Mama duck had 11 babies on the day we arrived, but only 2 left by the time we departed!

This is a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds. The staff are professional and accommodating. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, and with nice views. Dogs are allowed in the rooms but not restaurants, so we had room service. There is electric car charging and it’s an hour from the Eurotunnel, which is convenient. It’s expensive, which is to be expected, but doesn’t go that extra mile to warrant the price overall.

Wow. Just wow. Superb hotel, very luxurious with big bedrooms that have marvellous views. The 2 Michelin starred restaurant of Chef Christopher Dufosse is mouth-wateringly magnificent, lovely decor, the food is divine. There's also a less expensive brasserie which is brilliant - great barbecue. Really loved the park around the castle, with a small farm of rescue animals including a goat called Etoille! There are gorgeous vegetable and fruit gardens - this place is very green environmentally friendly and try to grow as much of their own as they can and buy locally in what is the garden of France. The spa was almost ready when I was there, you could see it's going to be superb - I'll be back for that. This is a fabulous place to say, perfect for special occasions, anniversaries, birthdays, or just because everyone deserves a special treat.

This is the third Relais & Chateaux we stayed in over the last two weeks. I am somewhat surprised with the accreditation as this is more of a restaurant with rooms. Its strengths are a good location near to Calais for the return and pleasant grounds. These are not really offset by its shortcomings. One gets the impression that the hotel is understaffed. There was no one serving in the bar before dinner and that was remedied by going to reception. The food was good and the pricing very reasonable. The service let the restaurant down. I cannot recall where the food is served and collected across the table rather than served from the left and collected from the right. The ambience in the restaurant was affected by the tables being crammed together; a small intermediate table of about 30cm separating one from the next. I was also surprised by the lack of toiletries in the bathroom. The shower had shower gel and shampoo affixed to the wall. The bath itself had nothing!

I booked on line and received an early booking discount for the room. This was the first time we had stayed here and we were impressed. However, there were one or two points I would like to make. Firstly, although the grounds are lovely, they were not tended very well. The roses all needed attention and the weeds were flourishing. The kitchen garden was a bit of a mess. Perhaps the gardener was on holiday?! Secondly, our bathroom had a shower over the bath but there was no anti slip mat which made standing in the bath treacherous. We were lucky not to slip and fall. Also, for a 5* hotel, you would expect body lotion to be supplied. The shower gel in the bath was not labelled “ hair and body” but “ invigorating shower gel” which did not suggest you could use it on your hair. The room had air con which was most welcome and the bed was soft and comfortable. We ate in the Bistro and thoroughly enjoyed our three courses for 42 euros ( not over priced at all which made up for the rather expensive room). Excellent food and service. I am sure we will be back but would like something to be done about the safety aspect in the bathroom…..we mentioned this at the front desk along with the lack of body lotion.
