My friend and I are traveling around France for a couple of weeks. We picked this hotel based on reviews and price. It was a good location to drive to Omaha Beach and the surrounding area. We each had a room with a king size bed, a very large bathroom with a wonderful shower and separate large tub. Free Coffee, tea and water provided in the room and a small refrigerator with snacks and drinks available at a modest price. Beds were very comfortable and room temp was great. Very quiet location and free parking. The best thing was Julia, the front desk staff person. Extraordinary service and assistance with everything we needed including ordering Thai food from a local restaurant because the restaurant was closed on Sunday night and Monday night, the two nights we were there. She deserves a GIANT Thank You and a Gold Star! I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to France.

It is a mistake to represeent this hotel as five star because it definitely is not. Our room had a sloping ceiling which restricted height and made it feel very small. in addition the lighting is poor and the decor is dark making the rooms appear very dingy. The configuration of the room did not lend itself to be five star and neither did the bathroom which had no door on it. There were nice touches in the room such as complimentary water and sweets and the toiletries were good. We paid extra for the breakfast in the morning expecting it to be to a Michelin standard but it was a continental breakfast with no cooked choices available. Unfortunately in our view the only reason to stay in this hotel is if you were eating dinner in the Michelin Star restaurant, however the menu was so restrictive that we had to eat elsewhere.

Great parking, disappointing room not up to even a 3* hotel - small with sloping ceiling and we did not like the purple walls and chairs, poor pillows, high bath to get into. Restaurant - excellent pan-fried foie gras (although tomato base accompaniment a bit overpowering) and veal, copious dessert, very ordinary wines in menu de confiance - should have selected the wine.

We found the hotel team very welcoming. The room was spacious and huge bed. Bathroom also very spacious and lots of nice touches in the room - robes, water, slippers. Staff speak good English, but also spoke back to me in French when I tried to practice which was cute and appreciated. Dinner at the restaurant was amazing. Friendly attentive service and food was exceptional. Breakfast was charming with good quality produce. Room was warm and the ac wasn’t able to be controlled, but apart from that we had a lovely stay.

Wonderful property with excellent staff and management. Very convenient location. Parking on site without fee. Restaurant is exceptional and a has Michelin star rating. Rooms are clean and comfortable with every amenity. Excellent wine selection available too!

I tried to change my reservation short term and postpone by three days. There were available rooms so a change woukd have not been a problem. But they said their rules are that you have to advise 2 days before and it does not matter if there are enough rooms. Well I dont do a reservation again by such negative customer service

We stayed here for one night on route through France. On first glance the hotel is contemporary and thoughtfully decorated. The staff speak good English and were welcoming. We were on the second floor and our room had limited head space due to the eves. The bathroom is open plan with a separate toilet that was so high our toes only just reached the floor! The bed was very comfortable and the aircon welcome on a summers night. However our shower was either scolding hot or freezing cold - no happy medium, making it unusable. We reported it to reception but weren’t offered an alternative room and the promised visit from maintenance didn’t materialise. There was no reduction in our bill to reflect this. Breakfast was €18 per person and a typical (but fairly limited) continental set up. There was a self service egg boiler but no option for omelettes or poached eggs offered. In hindsight a croissant and coffee at a local Boulanger would have been a much better and cheaper option. Caen is a lovely town and we’d like to come back for longer, but we won’t return to this hotel.

Au prix de 162 € la nuit en chambre luxe dans un 5 étoiles, à quoi devais-je m'attendre sinon à une très grande déception. Et ce fut le cas! Sombre, moquette sale, lavabo bouché, odeurs d'égouts. Décoration inexistante, papier peint daté comme le mobilier (encore le lecteur de DVD sans DVD) on ne s'y sent vraiment pas à l'aise. Côté spa, salle de sport; l'hygiène y est quasiment inexistante. Je ne vous parle même pas de la déco. J'ai apprécié le savoir-faire de la masseuse dans un espace à moins de 20 degrés et dans un boucan irrespectueux. J'ai testé le restaurant une étoile svp. Franchement, je ne sais qui attribue les étoiles à Caen. Petit déjeuner digne d'un formule 1 et je ne mâche pas mes mots. Hôtel restaurant à fuir...
