We were met at the door by the lovely Darren who checked us in, carried our extremely heavy bags, and showed us to our room. Darren is amazing, we felt completely welcome and at home instantly, honestly the best welcome we have ever had. We both said we were so glad we hadn’t booked a Premier Inn! The hostel has a lovely little restaurant, the pizza and pasta was amazing and very reasonably priced. The hostel is ideally situated, and has free parking. 10/10

We had a lot of fun here. It’s a hostel so don’t expect luxury accommodation but its’s clean, comfortable and good value for money. The restaurant serves delicious pizzas, amongst other things, and the cooked breakfast was also very good, using quality ingredients. The bar/restaurant area has a great atmosphere, very relaxed. It closes around 10pm so you still get a good nights sleep. The bar offers a variety of drinks, both alcoholic and non and the Welsh music as well as a fantastic staff team all add to the atmosphere. We were really impressed with the manager Darren particularly. He was extremely warm and welcoming and generous with his time and help, nothing was too much trouble- he’s a real asset to the place. All the staff were great, we even got to have a chat with the chef - the whole team were very accommodating. We will definitely be returning. It’s a fantastic base for exploring the area too. The views from our room were beautiful. Plenty of room to park in the car park and a drying room for all your gear. Perfect 👌

We spent 2 nights here and had the most amazing time. The room at the hostel was great, much nicer and better equipped than a lot of hostels. We had a private room with an en suite and there was a shared lounge attached to a bar/restaurant. When we arrived the atmosphere was really nice and welcoming. All of the other residents went home, however, the next day, as we arrived on a Saturday evening and so we had the whole place to ourselves! There was plenty to do nearby and the hostel had a nice and comfortable lounge for us to relax in when the rain came. Our hosts were very friendly, chatty and helpful. We were given lots of advice about the surrounding area and whilst we didn't 'do Snowden' we explored the quarries nearby which were unbelievable. Like a huge playground for grown ups! We would definitely stay here again as it is in a great position for plenty of hikes.

An incredibly friendly & comfortable place to stay in a great location, on outskirts of Llanberis, with views over the mountains, great food & superb helpful service. This is by no means a 5* hotel but in terms of what it offers it is a 5* experience and provided everything I needed as a base for a weekend of walking and climbing. Comfortable bed and great food. V Definitely not a hostel!! Great welcome by Darren both on arrival and after my first day’s walk/climb which was just what I needed! The room provided everything I needed: it was small but had a comfortable double bed with en-suite bathroom. Lots of cushions and great big duvet. Bedside tables with lamps, towels, coffee/tea making equipment, great shower (I had en-suite room) 2 mirrors and an amazing view of Snowdon from my window! There are bunk beds but I was travelling alone so opted for privacy. I booked direct so the ample continental breakfast was included otherwise £5. The cafetière coffee was an unexpected surprise. I had build-your-own pizza both evenings which was delicious and great value. The eating area is decorated with fairy lights and is cosy and welcoming. I couldn’t recommend highly enough and don’t understand some of the negative comments. If I return to Llanberis I will definitely be staying here! Thank you.

One of the best "hostels" we've ever stayed at! It felt more like a "hotel". The room was everything you could need, nice and warm and super cosy. The breakfast was fantastic, location superb for hiking Snowdon, and super accessible with public transport. The restaurant was delicious, we loved the gluten free options. It was wonderful to hear some ridgy-didge Welsh, a great culturally immersive experience. Thanks Darren and Elin!

I wish I could give this place a 6 star review, considering they state its a hostel the experience was nothing short of world class. As soon as we arrived we was greeted by Darren and he admittedly attended to us. We had a lot of questions about the local area, where to eat, drink etc and Darren was on hand to go through all our options. He is incredibly attentive, called through to local companies for us to make our trip even better and just went above and beyond expectation. The food is amazing here, I was honestly blown away that you could get a home made pizza and a beer for £8 and it was fantastic. The rooms are basic but very clean as was the shower facilities. Continental breakfast was great and only £5 which again we felt was such brilliant value. We was booked in as a group of 5 and I've never felt so welcomed anywhere I've ever stayed. I will 100% be back. The owner whose name I didn't catch is just as accommodating you can tell they really take pride in their business along with the staff serving everyone wanted us to have the best time! Location wise is again brilliant, a beautiful lake just down the road, close to Snowdon and the town is a short walk if you want to explore. Could not have asked for a better weekend away thanks to these guys!

Me and my family stayed here from the 15th-17th September. There was 9 of us in total and WOW. Simply WOW, at how fabulous the host Elin was and all her staff. The accommodation was very good value for money, beds were comfy, rooms were clean. Me and my partner had to stay in the shared dorm and it’s something we have never done before. But we was pleasantly surprised. We ate both nights in the on-site restaurant and the pizzas are bloody brilliant!!! I highly recommended the fajita pizza!!! And the strawberry pavlova as desert. Such good value for money. This place is homely and comfortable, your made to feel so welcome by elin. Thank you for our wonderful stay me and my family loved every minute….but mine and Daves legs are aching from the Snowdonia climb!!. All the best xx

Had a great night in this hotel ( It didn't feel like a hostel). The owner was friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. It is about a five minute walk to some of the main snowdon paths. Overall, I am very impressed and will book again next time.
