Piermonde Apartments Cairns

Great location in CBD, short walking distance to Wharf for most activities, restaurants and food outlets. Apartment is quite spacious, 1 bedroom with ensuite and extra bathroom and equipped with all kitchen appliances, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, iron etc. Service was ok as reception/service was mostly not available due to public holidays, didn't need much of service as such. An unpleasant experience when found dead cockroach on arrival and live cockroach few times during the stay, otherwise apartment was quite clean.

We stayed at the apartment over the weekend to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday and had a lovely time. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxed and easy stay. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, the air fryer was a great addition, the beds were comfy, and it all felt very homely. Everything worked as it should, and it served as a great base for our plans. The apartment is a little dated in parts, which we expected and didn’t mind at all, as it was very clean. The only thing worth pointing out is the vertical blinds, which are in need of some repairs or replacing, as a few panels were missing or broken. It wasn’t a major issue, but it did impact sleep in the morning. The only other consideration is the price point, it was on the higher side for the style and age of the property. While we were happy overall, a few small updates would help the apartment feel more in line with the cost. That said, everything went smoothly and we’re really grateful for the easy check-in, convenient location, and overall comfort. It made our special weekend all the more enjoyable.
