Had booked this hotel thinking it will be a good one, it does look great from the outside and the inside, me my wife and my son booked for 2 nights, got in the room turned the AC on waiting for the room to get cooled, suffered the night because they had a bad AC in that room, complained to the front desk and asked to check out and get our money back, she had to call the manager/ owner, he was nice and offered a replacement room/ junior suite room and offered us a dinner at the Italian restaurant next door, we thought it was nice of him, got the room Ac worked great, in the night went to the restaurant and guess what!! he wouldn’t pay for it because it’s either suffer another night in the no AC room and get the dinner 😂😂😂 or get the suite and no dinner, what a scam, too bad for this nice looking hotel that they are not that busy maybe because of the lack of service they have, I will try to dispute the suffering night payment! I won’t come back to this hotel!

I loved the look of this hotel from the outside & the lobby. It is so clean and so grand looking. However, when we landed the staff had very little English and to ask any questions was difficult. Also, we were the only people staying at the hotel. The pool was freezing & had a dead bird in it for the 2 days we were there. We went to the spa which was lovely but had a dead cockroach in reception. There was no food available the whole time, the bar was in darkness. Our room was spacious and clean with a good tv and lovely jacuzzi. Just quite strange how nobody stays here and there's no food or bar open due to this.

Very disappointed. Special trip for 21st birthday. Rooms undergoing maintenance when we arrived. Poor cleanliness. Pre-requested items not arranged. Complaints have never been addressed. Never again

They make you pay to park for 12€. The ceilings in the room are too short. I am 180cm tall and I’ve hit my head already 6-8 times at the point of writing this review. My 160cm tall partner is having a hysterical laugh. The TV is also super old. Where are the bathrobes? I thought this was a 4 star hotel? And finally, the lights in the hallways of some of the floors don’t turn on for a while and it’s creepy. One more thing, I don’t care much for the toilet paper.

In fact, I did not choose the hotel myself for I went to Spain joining a tour group so this hotel was picked by the travel agent. However, I was so surprised by the high standard of the room that I would say it was the best among the ones we have stayed throughout the trip. The room is really spacious and comes with a big terrace with a nice view. It was a treat to stay in the room after a long day of sightseeing and travelling around in the area. I do understand while the hardware is vey good, perhaps the service of the hotel may not be of the same level. This was the first time I came across a hotel that offers breakfast that starts at 8am. Since our group needed to start early the next day, it was under long and difficult negotiation by our group tour leader that in the end, they agreed to start breakfast at 7:30am for us. The breakfast buffet did offer a good selection, and I particularly liked the good variety of fresh fruits. All in all, it was a good stay in this hotel.

A 2 star hotel in a shell of a soulless 5 star building. I don’t know where to start. I’m a keen traveller from London and stayed in many hotels from basic to high end. The Granada Palace is absolutely soulless. You are led into a grand reception area and greeted by reception staff who look tired, fed up and just waiting for their shift to end. Our family room was huge and had four double comfy beds and a big bathroom. However we had to move room on our 2nd night as the toilet was leaking and making a noise, we complained about this in the morning and they said it would be fixed but we arrived back at 11pm, to find it still leaking and noisy so we went down to the reception asking if we could move rooms. They allowed us to move but at nearly midnight they expected us to remove all our belongings too. I asked if we could do that in the morning as we are all tired but no -the hotel was empty so they really could have let us keep both rooms for one night as it was their fault we were having to move. The bar - the worse place I have ever eaten and they act like they are given you Michelin food. Firstly you have to reach the hotel bar through a dark unlit corridor not inviting at all. The bar like the rest of the hotel lacks any atmosphere, oh and it doesn’t open until 8pm, so if you want a tea/coffee or alcoholic beverage from 11am -8pm in this 4 star hotel then you are directed by reception to the supermarket cafe round the corner in the town . The bar man was friendly though, as we had just arrived we were hungry so chose to eat there. My son and I ordered cous cous and chicken wings, it was literally 2 tablespoons of cous cous no seasoning or veg and 3 chicken wings 14 euros . My daughter had spare ribs ( microwaved) and 6 chips in a line for 18 euros. Dreadful Breakfast was a good variety but all the pastries were stale and the hot water for tea/coffee Luke warm To top off our Christmas experience the cleaner threw away my daughter teeth aligners costing us £200 upon our return to get new ones. The hotel took accepted no responsibility of this. Overall our Christmas experience at the Granada Palace was really disappointing. Do not go here with any expectations of a high service or any warmth and you may enjoy it.
