We stayed for a week at the hotel from Tuesday 30th September having decided to book with longstanding friends. From the first email exchanges until we left the efficiency of all the staff was outstanding: from arranging airport transfers to booking restaurants in the town, from the pool and beach service to the staff at breakfast, lunch and dinner, everyone was friendly, helpful and on the ball. The hotel is simply beautiful, nit flash or ostentatious but understated and an oasis of calm and peace, aesthetically pleasing with no music (a wonderful change) apart from fantastic live music in the evenings, one couple in particular (female singer and male guitarist/pianist) were outstanding. A wonderful week in an outstanding hotel.

We were looking for a nice family hotel not too far away from Cagliari as we wanted to be able to visit family. We were looking for a hotel with beach access and a pool. We found all of those things at Hotel Cala Caterina. The rooms were lovely and spacious, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We hired a car through the hotel and they made numerous restaurant reservations for us, recommending places we had not thought of. The apperetivo hour was wonderful, as the cocktails on offer were second to none served with delicious nibbles. There was live music most nights. My only complaints would be that the hotel restaurant was a little too formal for our liking for dinner and breakfast finished a tad too early for our teenage kids. The grounds, pool and beach cabanas were extremely well looked after. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The sea was extremely clean and clear with beautiful fish to see. Nearby Villassimius offered lively evening bars and restaurants.

Beautiful hotel, superb position, excellent food, and staff very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend half board Can take a bus from up the road to villasimius or the hotel can organise a cab. It has its own beach (open to public too) but hotel provides its own sun beds Lunch there wonderful too if do not wish to venture further afield Lots of other beaches to visit and can hire a boat for day/ half day from harbour nearby Review should have been posted July 2024

This is a super nice hotel, family owner with excellent service and the best breakfast buffet I ever saw in Italy (at least). It is beautifully appointed, in a great location and the staff are very attentive and friendly (most Italians are but these guys deserve special mention). We went in shoulder season and I thought it was very good value. Very nice bar. It's not perfect but I really enjoyed my stay there.

We spent 5 nights at the end of the season and felt very comfortable. The atmosphere of the Hotel, the garden and the throughout kindness of the staff leads to high comfort. We booked bed & breakfast, which is for us ideal. The breakfast offers a rich variety. As mentioned in other comments, the scrambled eggs are different ;), but fried eggs are daily offered and soft boiled eggs can be ordered separately. The small bay invites to swim, but there were lots of sea **** at this time of the year. We recommend a car, as the Hotel is out of the way.
