We had a brilliant time here, we came with the extended family covering 3 generations and everyone had a great time. The family rooms are great, and having a separate space for our son was great for him. While it was end of the season when we visited this did not affect the quality of the stay. The staff are amazing, shout outs for David in guest relations and Viktoria in the entertainments team. The food in the buffets had a good selection and I was able to find something I liked every meal, while the food in South is something else. Location wise it’s great, with a 30 min walk to Porto Cristo (I went via the main road but there was always a footpath) as well a bus stop and land train stop near by. Would happily come back again

Fantastic hotel very friendly staff and clean hotel. The food in all restaurants are lovely and plenty of choice. This was our 2rd holiday here this year and we also came in the July the year before. Would definitely recommend and booking to go back. My parents also go with us and use the adult only sections at times and say that these areas are lovely too.

Had a lovely holiday, room was very spacious and always kept clean. Good assortment of food in the restaurants, swimming pools were a little chilly but it was October, Hotel staff very helpful and tentative. a great Spa with many features kids loved the water slides and play areas. premium drinks is always a bonus. no major gripes just a wonderful holiday. fully recommended.

We stayed in a 1 bed apartment Block A, which was the main block. The room was dated and very tired, but pretty clean and the shower was powerful. The cleaning staff did a great job, coming daily. The walls were quite thin, and the bedroom next to the walkway, luckily we were at an end but often about 11pm there was families(?!) coming back, lots of door slamming and running, not ideal. Yes it's a family hotel and you expect noise, but it doesn't take much to be mindful of others. We've stayed at all inclusives before, and found the buffet good to be pretty good all round, with some different choices every night. The drinks selection was annoying, the only 4 cocktails included were all very sweet and from machines, if you wanted off menu you had to pay (12€). Having said that the spirits were branded spirits, so that was a plus. There was taps at all bars/restaurants to get your own beer & wine which was a great idea, though it meant at dinner that was your only choice along with soft drinks/coffee/ water, which were also help yourself from machines/pumps. The wine I didn't find drinkable, but the lager was good. Tip, there's a restaurant over the bridge called Antonella's which do a cracking Caiparinha, and there's a kids play area next to it. The staff were all really friendly, and the 2 ladies at Kids club were really great, our little boy loved them. The slides were great fun, and there was always lots to do for us. Overall we had a really good week. We got a deal with TUI, for what we paid (free child's place) I was happy enough, but if I'd have paid full price in peak season then I wouldn't have felt it was good value. The room quality definitely let it down, but we didn't go to spend much time in the room, and it had everything you need so was adequate in that sense. I understand they're upgrading rooms currently. So yes I'd recommend if you have kids probably 10 and under. We wouldn't come again but we tend not to visit places twice.

We have returned to Insotel Cala Mandia for another family holiday as we have enjoyed our time here so much on previous visits. The location, the facilities and the apartments are wonderful and it doesn't matter which area you stay in as wandering around between the different pools, bars and dining on site is part of the fun. If you are looking for a little relaxation away from the kids, this hotel has some nice adult areas and it's not hard to find a quiet spot. One of our party is a wheelchair user and I have to thank the management and staff for going out of their way to make things easy... that counts for so much and I'm sure we will return in the years ahead.

What a fantastic place . This is our first family holiday abroad bringing our 4 year old princess away. And we couldn’t have asked for a better place to visit. From start to finish it’s been amazing. The room was lovely with a mega view of the pool. Plenty of room for us all. The food was unreal and a great variety daily. The staff were exceptional. They couldn’t do enough for us, so professional and friendly. We’ve had the most wonderful stay and will certainly be coming back here again.

We visited here in half term (last week of october. We were a family of 4, staying in area A. If I'm entirely honest (and as it's the point of this review, I will be) i wouldn't go again this time of year. Purely because everything was closing down and I dont feel we got to experience all the hotel had to offer. We also got charged for the 50s diner despite being told it was included in our package. Tbh we were happy to pay it as it was good value for money and the food was lovely (and you could eat as much as you liked) but it didn't seem clear to staff who had to pay and who didn't. Another point I wasn't keen on was that to use the spa we had to pay (yet adults only got it free - we are adults too, just with children, so just charge for children? ) if there is to be a charge i feel there should be a tier system, as we paid full cost but couldn't use all the facilities as the spa etc was for over 16s only. That said the spa staff were exceptionally kind, helpful and friendly. We used the spa several times as the pools outside had become too cold to use towards the end of our holiday, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. These were the only 2 niggles we had. The food can be repetitive but that's to be said for all all inclusive j feel. The one stand out feature for us, within this hotel was the staff. The entertainment team were great, and ANGIE was truly exceptional. I have a daughter with complex needs and she translated our needs to others. Every day she looked for us to check we were ok, if we had anything or needed anything. It was clear she was passionate about both her job and the guests. Offering tips of places to go and things to do to make our holiday more special. Even offering to show us the accessible walk route to a quiet beach. Thankyou Angie, your kindness is one of our happiest memories. All in all we did really enjoy our stay and we are planning to go back in July so we can fully experience all the hotel offers.
