CASA DE GOA Hotel  Dr Afonso Rd,  Near Calangute Football Ground, Tivai Vaddo,  Bardez,  Calangute,  Goa 403516, India. This had to be the most disappointing stay I have ever had the bad luck to encounter. I travel a lot spent 8 days there.  Room/bathroom dirty.  See through blinds on windows. Sheets towels stained old. The cleaning got better not acceptable but better. The chap did best he could with what he was working with. Room supposedly had a safe to store my belongings. I had three different ones as they did not lock 3rd one did.  Air con broke down. My main criticism is there was no internet connection in my room. Had to sit in balcony and get eaten alive with mosquito's or go downstairs to reception. I complained every day  NOTHING DONE. No managers available I did not even get an apology. If you are considering staying there my advice is DONT. This place has a 4+☆ rating I have no idea how. Brigid

The hotel is conveniently located just about 1.2 km from Calangute Beach, and it’s much closer to MOPA Airport compared to the older Dabolim Airport. The property is clean, well-maintained, and the staff are consistently polite and helpful. I arrived around midnight and had a smooth, hassle-free check-in experience. The room was comfortable with clean linen, and the hotel has good amenities, including a nice swimming pool. We booked a hotel vehicle for a South Goa sightseeing trip (11:00 AM to 7:00 PM) for Rs. 3500, which was a great way to explore the area. We also used the same service for an early morning airport drop at 4:00 AM, charged at Rs. 2300 — very convenient! Special thanks to Rama at the restaurant, who went out of his way to take care of us. When he found out about my early departure, he kindly suggested arranging a packed breakfast and advised informing the reception. I did inform them in the evening, but unfortunately forgot to follow up during check-out, and the staff didn’t remind me either — probably just my bad luck! All in all, I had a pleasant experience and truly appreciated the warm hospitality. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting North Goa!

Run down and badly in need of some TLC, this place is grubby, dated and pretty basic. The staff were (generally) pleasant and friendly and doing their best with the limited resources available, but management need to put their hand in their pocket and sort out the tatty parasols and stained furniture (particularly in the restaurant which is offputting and badly in need of a complete makeover). Most of all they need to replace the key cards which did not work for any of us for pretty much the entirity of our week-long stay, meaning repeated trips back to Reception every time we tried to get into our rooms (turns out all the guests we spoke to had the same issue). This is not great if you are suffering from a touch of Delhi Belly and need to get into your room in a hurry! The rooms themselves were basic but clean (our cleaner was great and very helpful), although standing in the bathtub to take a shower was a bit scary because it was bouncy and felt like the bottom was about to give way. On our last day, l went down early for breakfast to find the place appeared to have had a little glow-up. Clean towels on the sunbeds, new parasols, fresh flowers everywhere and carved fruit at the breakfast buffet. There were also cameras set up in reception and in the restaurant. I asked what was happening and was told they were filming 'for a tourist video'. Once the filming had finished, all the nice stuff they obviously wheel out for such ocassions was promptly packed away again and replaced with greying, threadbare relics from what was probably once a very nice place to stay. I thought it was pretty ironic that they had dressed it all up for a promotional video but didn't make much effort for the tourists that were actually staying there. As we checked out, several of the staff asked us to put good reviews on Tripadvisor. I'm afraid l only do honest reviews.

We Arrived here on the 5th of feb 2025 booking in was quickish and we were shown to our room, On entering it was wow this wasnt what we saw on their web site the room was was out dated with a rusty Fridge which was filthy, The back of both the front door and bathroom door also filthy the bath was chipped all over and rust and grime all over (it was horrendous) And nothing like we booked, After seething for 10 minutes up to the reception i went complaining, Soon we were shown another room, which was nearly as bad and i turned it down as it was not what we seen on line, After a while there was a knock on the door and the receptionist (a nice lady asked if we would like to see across the road as this hotel, Is split in two, So across we went and it was 10 times better, But they wanted an extra £500ish for the two rooms which I replied we are not paying that, And we want the two clean rooms what we ordered and seen on line, After explaining they are misleading people as what you see is not what it was, Eventually they dropped it to £260 ish for the two rooms which we had to accept as we were very tired, Now the good part The other side of the road is like small Villas (very nice) In fact you would not think it was the same Hotel and we were very pleased with the room which was very spacious and 5 steps from the pool which was lovely, We only had to ask for a lounger and it was put where ever we wanted back to the room you had a large table 4 chairs, tv sofa another small table fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, 2litres of water free each day, The Bedroom was spacious the bed was huge and very comfortable lots of wardroom space and bedside tables, The Bathroom had a bath and separate shower, Hairdryer and free good quality toiletries, The Restaurant was very good the food was amazing as was the drinks, The prices of the food and drinks were reasonable so we ate there often, There was Plenty of choice at breakfast, The staff were amazing from reception to the gardeners my 2 Favourites Rama from the Restaurant and the security *** on the door who would do anything for you (Sorry i forgot your name, ) There are some close restaurants outside the hotel Sabs just 50yds is good and cheap. Would i go back to the Casa De Goa. Yes i would but to the villas on the beachside of the road as we all four of us enjoyed it very much

I liked the doorman who stood up evertime you went in and out, the large wooden reception, the solid 19th century classic structure and colourful wall and pictures. Pool was sweet for a dip after a day on the beach. Helpful staff always, good choice breakfast, menu etc. Big TV and balcony. Noisy colourful street at the front. But quiet enough inside. Short walk to beach. Calangute town very chaotic for me but stay beach side and everything is there

We have recently returned from a three week stay in Casa De Goa and we had a lovely time. Every one of the staff looked after us so well from the Gardener, the Bell Boy, the Room Boy the Waiter's, the Chef's the Reception team and all the way through to the General Manager. No request was too much trouble. The staff have a 'can do' ethos. You step from the frantic hustle and bustle of the resort to the charm and serenity of the hotel in our vintage villa room. We really enjoyed it and hope to return there again soon.
