The Spa is very outdated.Treatment rooms are painted in browns and greys, with a room that the used for the mud treatment (application of a hotpack ,no mud on the skin as expected) in a room reminiscent of a curtained 1960s hospital room.Not a western spa, rather the preference of elderly Spanish ladies.The spa website is decievingly modern looking but the reality is old and tired.Spa reception staff were very friendly but unfortunately this does not make up for the shortcomings.

We stayed over at Balneari Prats for one night on a cycling trip from Olot down to Llefranc and had one of the basic rooms which was clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony view of the pool. The room was a bit dated and the corridor was decorated in geriatric grey, but the older historic part of the building has been refurbished to a higher standard. The hotel website clearly shows the renovated and unrenovated rooms and states that the standard rooms do not have air conditioning. We were perfectly happy with the facilities, enjoyed the pool and gardens and found the staff pleasant and helpful. There is a well equipped secure cycle store where we were able to do some basic maintenance before setting off again. Breakfast and dinner were both good, with a good choice of options.

This is a very strange hotel. Lovely pool, staff so friendly. Breakfast ok. But the rooms!! The “standard rooms” are exact replicas of prison cells! We spent one night in one didn’t sleep for a minute. We could hear the person in the room above snoring! Heard when the people either side went to the toilet in the middle of the night. Bathrooms were dirty and beyond. Furniture is tatty and smelly. We asked reception for an upgrade and spent the rest of the nights in a much nicer room, the hotel have had these 2 different types of room for many years. The first prison room will genuinely want to make you kill yourself.

Fin de semana Termal… todo estaba yendo perfecto y esta mañana se ha girado un poco… La Envoltura de Arcilla me la has puesto como: Vaaaa empapado, empapado… y a dejar pasar el rato. Por otra parte es la 1a vez que a la salida de un hotel me permiten dejar el equipaje al salir de la habitación como suele estar en los hoteles y que las instalaciones no se permiten seguir utilizando (en referencia a la piscina termal exterior). amistades que han estado en Balnearios y con este hecho no se han encontrado nunca! ¡Qué haremos! Por lo demás todo perfecto pero estos pequeños detalles te estropean lo bueno!

Es un sitio que parece que son los años 60. Todo muy viejo, descuidado, roto. Las habitaciones están muy viejas y huele a anticuado. Las persianas y cortinas no corren, las camas son muy duras. La zona de masajes todo muy abandonado y con mala imagen. Un sitio para no volver. El personal muy simpático y atentos.

Hemos pasado una noche muy bonita en el hotel. Nos dieron una habitacion con jacuzzi que hemos aprovechado nada mas entrar. Pedimos una botella de cava y nos ha hecho sentir " enamorados ". La piscina a fuera estaba bien calentita , el masaje doucha a presion nos ha parecido un poco fuerte. El dia siguente desayunamos y fuimos muy contentaos de haber relajado una noche , como bien necesitamos. Muchas gracias a Cristina por su amabilidad, volveremos seguro.

Fantásticos días de relajación. Las habitaciones renovadas muy bien equipadas. Menús de restaurantes con platos elaborados. Destaca la amabilidad de todo el personal, desde recepción a restaurante, balneario, personal de limpieza. Una experiencia para repetir

Reservamos una habitación renovada "superior" y nos encontramos una habitación donde la cama (grande, eso sí) estaba encajonada y era muy difícil acceder a la cama por los lados! El lavabo a la vista y el wc y la ducha por separado. Desde luego no es la habitación superior que aparece en el vídeo de su web. Lo comentamos a la recepcionista y con muy pocas habilidades de atención al cliente nos dijo que las superiores eran todas así, que era lo que habíamos pagado (que tampoco es que sea un hotel barato). La piscina de agua caliente es para mí lo único realmente destacable. Eso sí, no se pueden llevar las toallas de la habitación y si quieres una toalla o un albornoz para la piscina, a pagar por alquilarlos. En otros balnearios el albornoz está disponible en la habitación, lo dejo como sugerencia. En recepción siguieron con la poca empatía con la que nos habían atendido. El desayuno es correcto sin más y la cena nos pareció con pocas opciones para lo que cuesta.
