Elba Sara Beach & Golf Resort

The actual hotel is quite nice but is let down by the fact the towels are old and some have holes in them, even had beach towels left in our room as they probably run out of bath and hand towels. Restaurant, well most meals you will find 1 or more items on your plate to be cold/warm, the restaurant is under manned so staff running round trying to serve drinks and tidy up etc are on a loser. There were on many occasions where there had been food spilt under tables not been cleaned up so struggled finding somewhere comfy to sit without having to dodge standing in food. Bar, beer supposed to be Gruzcampo, no chance more like flat Heineken, vodka ok but Diet Coke not nice. Pool area is dirty and never seen anyone cleaning around pool area, I did not realise how dirty it was till we were packing and putting flip flops in case, the sole was absolutely filthy. By the way we stopped at Elba Carlota just close by and that was same, we were told Sara was loads better but both same, won’t be back.

What can I say. We had a fantastic week at the Elba Sara. Me and my husband had one room with sea view and our son had the room next door. Rooms 304 and 305. Beautiful big rooms. Comfy beds and pillows. Air conditioning. Great shower. We booked all inclusive and enjoyed the lovely food with so much choice and lots of drinks around the pool and in the upstairs bar. The staff are amazing. We had a good laugh with all of them we came across. The pool area is great and the best thing is you can get a sunbed anytime of day. A 20 minute walk along the seafront takes you into town or a 5 euro taxi ride. We loved the hotel cats. Nothing to dislike in our opinion and can't wait to return.

Returned home on Sunday after an 8 night stay with my husband, we have stayed a few before & always enjoy it here. We had a nice room on the 5th floor with a great sea view but no sun on the balcony. The room & bathroom was kept clean @ all times. A bit of a hit or miss if the maid leaves you any coffee or milk!!! Good choice of food @ all meals, I need to mention Tracey in the restaurant she is fantastic friendly & funny, all the staff are great to be honest. The guys in the bar upstairs @ night time are also fantastic & try their best to serve drinks as quick as they can so please be patient with them. Always plenty sun loungers available although this was March, weather was good except for the 1st two days when it was really windy although this is obviously not the hotels fault!!! We had a meal one night @ the tex mex, really enjoyed our food & a nice change from the buffet restaurant, good service & a really chilled quiet atmosphere. Staff on reception always helpful & polite & was good to see Kasia again (public relations) always has a happy smiling face . I have never in any of my reviews had a bad word to say about Elba Sara BUT this time I was a little bit annoyed & frustrated as it states if you have a fidelity card you will be given water on arrival, I have never had this before & didn’t receive any this time either. I thought the way forward was to make requests via the APP, after we had checked in & had something to eat I requested another 2 pillows through the app as my husband has arthritis in his neck & these never appeared, I asked again 3 or 4 days later again through the app but no pillows turned up!!! I also reported through the app on the 1st night that the balcony doors wouldn’t lock, again there was no response to that either, I don’t leave my doors unlocked @ home & didn’t expect to have to do it here either & just didn’t feel safe through the night regardless being on the 5th floor. So lesson learned if & when I come back again I will immediately go to reception with any issues. On the last day we asked for a late check out as flight wasn’t until 9.20pm but it was a NO once again, same as all the other times we have stayed I understand it’s subject to availability but we have stayed here in the months of March, September & October & never been able to keep our room on. Will we be back probably, but not this year as we have other holidays planned. Anyone going soon then enjoy

Just come back from a holiday with my two grown up children, the three of us loved it at the Elba Sara, food was good, drinks were plentiful, the beds were comfy but wow the pillows were amazing, If I had any gripe it would be the snacks left out uncovered , we felt that the Sara would benefit from the same approach as the Elba Castillo where you order the snacks and they are cooked for you, We are looking at booking again next year with more family members

Here at the moment what can I say best hotel I have been in for a while.Nothing too much trouble if you have a problem it's dealt with straight away.Food very good if you can't find anything to eat here then you need to go self catering.Lovely walk to caletta de fusta on the front.

Had joined a Facebook group for this hotel before arriving. Everyone was so complimentary so we had high hopes. We were disappointed. Pros: Food in the buffet restaurant was decent with a good choice Staff very friendly Lobby bar was lovely on an evening Plenty of sun loungers Overlooks the sea and our room got the sunrise each morning (545 deluxe double) Cons: Dated and tired Rooms not clean (cups and glasses were never washed or replaced) Furniture and flooring in need of replacement Very noisy in the hotel room, no soundproofing so could hear next doors tv, baby crying, cleaners up and down the corridor, moving furniture (bring your earplugs) Drinks choice poor on all inclusive Very limited choice of food in pool snack bar Some of our group got norovirus on the last day, not necessarily the hotels fault but didn’t help the experience A good 25 min walk to the marina/town We did enjoy our time there but would not return. The Barcelo was much nicer and we’ll be going back there next time.
