Hotel Tropical Park

Hotel is cleaner than clean! Lovely food, replenished on a regular basis. Small enough to make friends easily. Miguel has made the first couple of days for our son, especially keeping everyone entertained on a day filled with rain! Thanks Miguel

Recently returned from the Tropical Park Hotel, which we chose in part due to the good reviews. We found the suite we had was large and spacious, lovely big balcony and everything worked. Maids were friendly and kept the suite clean, changing towels and bed covers when requested. There are a lot of steps because only the main block, where reception and the restaurant are located, has a lift, the others don’t so you do need to be able to manage a lot of steps. The two pool areas are large and there were always plenty of sun lounges available, so no need to rush out early with towels to reserve them! The breakfast was good, both cooked and continental, with lots of fresh fruit. However; the evening meal options, whilst varied, were mostly cold or luke warm and looked mainly unappetising, mushy overcooked or undercooked vegetables. Then when you had made your choice, you then found the meat was dry and flavourless, regardless of it being in a sauce or not and the sauces were bland, the fish not fileted properly and full of bones. We have stayed at a number of hotels and for what is advertised as a four stars hotel the evening meal food was dire and in our opinion was not four stars standard. After a few evenings of trying to find something decent from the selection available, we’d had enough and decided to eat out in the evening for the rest of the stay! Additionally, staff made you feel like it was a big inconvenience you being there, no smiles or greetings and in some cases obviously grumbling among themselves about guests. We may not speak the language but can tell when people are moaning about you or others. The hotel guests mainly consisted of couples over forty or family’s with very young children, so at breakfast and evening meal it was like eating in a nursery with lots of whinging children, so not very relaxing. It’s a real shame, as the suite and pool areas were really good, but we definitely won’t be back. We found Nebula, Masala and La Palma restaurants, good places to eat in the resort.

Excellent Hotel, very nice area to stay. Will be back again. Good area to walk along the coast walk, visit local towns using the bus,taxi etc well connected.

Apartment was large modern & clean with everything you needed. Partial sea view. We stayed half board but if self catering kitchen had everything you would need if you wanted to cook. Food was ok plenty of choice but always seemed luke warm 🤷‍♀️ there is a microwave if needs be. Good pool area with 2 pool areas & a jacuzzi. Pool bar. WiFi was good & worked all around hotel. Area very quiet with a handful of restaurants pharmacy & supermarket. You can catch the bus just opposite hotel into Costa Adeje, las americas, las cristianos. Beach couple mins walk down hill, dark sand & very rocky.

Lovely spotlessly clean hotel in small, peaceful resort. We stayed on bed and breakfast basis and food was plentiful and good. Staff helpful and welcoming. Pool area great. Special mention to daytime entertainments guy from Northampton I think who worked so hard all day running pétanque, aqua aerobics, table tennis, etc. our room and balcony very clean, modern and spacious. Lovely bar called Eden down the road doing great cocktails and lots of restaurants to eat out at night. We had a great few days there in glorious winter sunshine. Would definitely return.

If you are looking for a very quiet, clean hotel then this is for you. We enjoyed our stay here and other than sleep being disturbed by noise from other rooms had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Positives: The hotel is exceptionally clean everywhere. The one bedroom apartment was spacious and very well equipped. All of the staff are friendly and do a great job. The food is varied and well cooked. Lots of very tasty dishes and desserts. Quiet location. No drunken behaviour Negatives: There are a lot of stairs and only one lift by reception. The rooms have poor sound insulation, you hear ever child run, every toilet flush, every door shut, every loud conversation. The only escape would be to book a room on the fourth floor, if you are fit enough for the stairs! The bar shuts early at 945pm and they turn all of the lights off at 10pm. they effectively put you to bed at that time as there is nowhere to go other than your room. No evening entertainment. The hot food is often cold, need to look at warming plates. There is nowhere for children to play in the evening so they tend to run around feral, chasing each other. Mind you this also says a lot about lack of parenting. The fitness room is in a squash court with no free weights.
