Ona Sueño Azul

Lovely resort, but very remote( which we knew,) you definitely need a car if you want to go out and do things. Upon check in I didn't find the lady very friendly and I felt anything I asked( as she wasn't forth coming with information) was a hassle. The English lady was very friendly and very helpful. When we arrived we had our bags and we were going to take the luggage trolley but didn't as the lady said very quickly" make sure you bring that back" that immediately got my back up and thought "wow what a service" We wouldn't return and the main reason is the beds in the Villa are the worst beds we've ever stayed in. They are soooooooooo uncomfortable. Very hard even though there was a mattress topper the linen didn't fit them and no matter what we tried the linen didn't stay on and we'd wake up in bits every morning. Also the pillows are awful. One day we went off for our lunch for exactly 1 hour and 10 minutes to come back to an empty pool but our towels all together and note basically saying don't do this. That is fine if you are doing that to everyone. We saw many towels left for many hours and nothing said to those people. Very unprofessional. If you're going to do it one family it should be done to everyone. Lifeguards not very friendly. In the whole 2 weeks not one of them spoke to us. They were sitting on the chair and on their phones most of their shift. The food and drink was excellent in Terraza restaurant and the staff were so friendly. Only for them. They made our holiday special. The people who have timeshares seem to think they own the place literally. A few of them made us feel unwelcome and I didn't expect that on a holiday we've paid for. Some of them were lovely and friendly and helpful. Very little for kids and the pool table wasn't working when we arrived and then it was fixed. Throughout our stay my boys lost money on it and because reception closes at 6pm we had no one to ask and then the boys were afraid to ask as they didn't find reception very friendly. The BBQ was absolutely disgusting. I'm attaching photos. This was what we were greeted with and had intended to use it but it turned my stomach. Don't advertise a BBQ if that's what you're giving people. Please clean them. They need to be thrown away and new ones bought. A health hazard. Also there was a red stain on our linen upon check in.. it looked disgusting. Room was serviced but obviously the maids don't change the linen or look at it even. Picture attached. Overall Callao Salvaje is a lovely little town with lovely bars and restaurants and if we were to come back we'd stay somewhere else. Upon checkout not one person asked us "how was our stay" I worked in the hotel industry for many years and this was one thing I always asked guests upon departure. It's a small thing but extremely important.

Just returned from my third trip to Sueno Azul and this is my second review. Last time (November 23) I reported that everything was perfect except the bar which let the complex down badly. This time however it was sooo different - like the staff in the complex itself, the bar staff could not do enough to help, they even got in alcohol-free wine especially for me! The food was amazing and Sunday Roast Beef was the best ever! One minor criticism is that they dont open till 12 lunchtime which I can understand from a staffing point of view, but we all felt ready for a morning coffee or water at 11am, so from a customer perpective that would have been better. All in all, thank you to the management and staff of the bar and well done for restoring my faith - you were all fantatic! The rest of the resort is consistently first class on service and professionalism and that includes everyone,. My stay here was yet again amazing and I recomend this complex wholesheartedly. Thank you everyone!!

Absolute perfection. We came as a family of 6 with 2 children check in on arrival was straight forward. The villa we had was perfect 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms included a washer balcony had sun beds a little garden and table and chairs very spacious and private it's like a home from home . The beds was comthy and all the area including the villa was spotless we would definitely return and already looking to rebook. Thankyou for a great stay and making our family holiday.

We visited this resort in May 2024 having never been there previously. We were very impressed with the receptionists who were happy to help us with whatever we asked. The restaurant, which I am aware is run separately was excellent and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. With the resort being up hill from the main part of the resort it was good after a busy day to eat in the restaurant on the resort rather than going out again. The resort gardens were beautifully kept and although we did not use the swimming pool it looked very inviting for those who did use it. Well done all especially the reception team.

We visited this lovely place for the Easter holidays. It is a very quiet, comfortable place and ideal for families. We liked the fact that it was away from the larger resorts but we could go to them if we wanted to. The villas are all identical and fully equipped with everything you need for self catering but for us the best bit about the place was the on site bar and restaurant with a pool. This was run by a very friendly, efficient team of young people. After going there on our first evening we didn't cook at home once. No need! Special thanks to Nacho, Jaroslav, Jelena, Laura, Bee and Felipe. I hope I haven't missed anyone out as they were such lovely people and great bar staff and chefs. Jelena's Sunday roast was as good as an English one. We obviously tried Canarian food but when we were at the complex the international menu did not disappoint. Thanks guys.

A beautiful refurbished 3 bed/2 bath bungalow with great garden inc a BBQ which was great Immaculately clean, bright, well equipped inside and out. Security excellent. Great pool area with bar/restaurant terrace overlooking it. Very friendly welcoming staff. Cannot fault it at all. Highly recommend it for short or long stay.
