Estimar Calpe Suitopia

We stayed at suitopia in February with our two young sons, and we were blown away. It was our first time in Calpe (we normally visit Albir), and we throughly enjoyed our time. Calpe is a bit more of a city than Albir but walking along the seafront is very pleasant. We had to stay in a suit (as the standard rooms don’t have a sofa bed so it’s the only option when travelling with kids). It was huge and spotless - although the type of tiles it must be difficult to clean the floors as my white socks were filthy each day after walking on the floors even just for two minutes. We were on the 28th floor just below the sky bar but didn’t hear any noise from up there so they must have really good soundproofing. I was amazed at all the added extras that were included that weren’t included in other 4 star hotels we’ve stayed at. Choice of pillows, choice of room scent, free safe, coffee machine (nespresso - wasn’t very good) robes, slippers, domino’s for the kids, milk and snack in the room on arrival for the kids. Water replenished each day. I was really impressed at how family friendly it is, being quite a swanky modern hotel, there’s nothing worse than having the feeling of thinking other guests are looking at you for having the kids there. But the arrival document makes it clear to all guests that they are a family friendly hotel. We were even able to hire a buggy for free (50 euro deposit). And they had two staff members available in the kids club (we didn’t leave the kids there as were not those type of parents who just drop their kids off but the boys enjoyed playing in there with the toys and slides). Breakfast was nice, plenty of choice, the chef was always available making omelettes of your choice. We only stayed b&b but on the day of arrival we were too tired so used the buffet. It was a bit pricey for what it was 40 euros per person and 20 euros per child excluding drinks. The staff were a bit mixed, check in / reception staff were all great, I speak a bit of Spanish, so that always helps. But some of the staff in the buffet were a bit cold. The heated pool was supposed to be open on arrival on the Monday but they must have been delayed as it didn’t open until the Wednesday. The kids loved it, although it was very windy with it being on the 1st floor so very cold when it came to getting out the pool. All in all we had a lovely time in Calpe.

Brittany Ferries Winter Sun ferry/hotel is fantastic value for money. We booked a self catering apartment with sea view for 28 nights. We sampled a self service buffet breakfast on one day. The best buffet breakfast we have ever sampled. We got vouchers for the spa. The roof top heated infinity pool is delightful.

Stayed in Suitopia 6 to 10 April 2025. Booked this hotel as it stood out from the others in Calpe to celebrate my husbands 50th Birthday. Party size 2 adults and an 11 yr old. I will list positive and negatives from our stay. Positives Hotel itself is spotlessly clean (discounting pool). Entrance is impressive, airy and spacious. Rooms are a really good layout for families. We stayed in a suite with seaview. Rooms cleaned daily and cleaning staff so respectful and attentive. Breakfasts are really good lots of choice. Negatives. The hotel holds lots of conferences there was 3 during our 1 week stay, makes it feel less like a holiday and so formal. We had a major issue with the food in the evenings which was not child friendly or offered much in the way of vegetarian options ( I am veggie as is my hubby who will eat some fish). To be honest the food at night made us feel sick the smell was awful nr the meat and fish sections. I found this aspect of the holiday stressful our son would return with 2 slices of pale looking German sausage and bread most times as nothing was palatable for him. There was no section for children’s food. The pasta section the pasta was cold and had to be flash cooked in hot water with a cold sauce not very enjoyable. We payed for half board option and had to eat out 3 times as we dreaded the options at night in the hotel. I did raise this on a comment card and was contacted by the manager and was told to ask the kitchen - I don’t feel this was appropriate options should be available. There was a large section of the dining room segregated for a Norwegian tour company which limited seating for the rest of hotel guests. There was one particular member of staff on the reception in the dining room that was very rude when we requested a table in the morning which happened to be my husbands 50th birthday she was very awkward and told us they were very busy and we had to sit were she wanted. When I’d asked for a different table (both needed to be set so couldn’t see the problem) she looked me up and down smirking very unprofessional and disrespectful when we are paying for a service. There seemed to be some kind of outbreak in the hotel as every other person seemed to be coughing. Hence why we wanted to be seated in less busy areas. The last issue and it is one that did impact on our son enjoying the holiday was the pool. We have stayed in quite a few 4 to 5 star hotels that are family friendly as the suitopia alledges and never known such poor pool management as this. There are 4 outdoor pools - one is heated. At the start of our stay the pool areas were not busy but as the week went on the heated pool became more and more busy and the water murkier and murkier. Children were jumping/diving in, it was a shallow pool, there were signs in different languages saying no jumping or diving - some small children in armbands were left unsupervised by parents. There was no lifeguard or supervision at all from the hotel. The

Having stayed in Calpe many times, this is our first stay at Suitopia and it didn't disappoint. We initially stayed on Floor 28 with fabulous sea views - very high so not recommended if you aren't comfortable with heights and a bit noisy as directly below the Skybar. Next day we paid to upgrade to a Suite, room 1303 - still a very good sea view and the room was fabulous - very spacious with large balcony with sun beds. Staff were very helpful and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Lots of nice touches in both rooms, slippers, gowns, pillow spray, foot cream etc etc. It was my birthday when we arrived and this must have been spotted because when we got back to our room, there was a delicious cake waiting for me. Huge selection of food at breakfast, very fresh and very well presented Lots of bars, restaurants and beach all directly outside. Worth a walk up to Old Town but recommend booking restaurants at busy times. Taxi from airport was 110 Euro's, about 1 hour away and we used Benniconnect on the way back, around 45 Euro's for 2 people and very efficient. Would highly recommend and we will be going back in 2025.

The most amazing experience for a 2nd time Entrance grand and the most beautiful smell It’s clean friendly and perfect for anyone who wants to stay in what feels like a 5 star No rush to reserve sun loungers not like other hotels is one of the reasons that we love it here Bed & Breakfast for us with the biggest choice with quality of products It’s restocked consistently Lots of cleaners around the hotel Our room was made up daily choose the scent you would like on your bedding So friendly and respectful We stayed in 508 16th August for 7 day The spa was incredible and treatment was best I’ve had Overall a super experience just wish we could have had a late check out We will be back next year

We arrived on 19th till 26th februar. We had a great wellcome from Kim (front desk) on the arrival.She has been very servis minded and helped us every day. She is a great model for the hospitality. The room has been clean every day.....that make our staying plesant... The food has been very good with many joices for our children and for us adults. Adrian olso on front desk evening has been very positiv and helpfull. Great experienc in the spa ....spesial spa reception Alba B. Looking foward to come back again. Big thanks from Senka family.
