Tongatok Cliff Resort

I rented four rooms for five days. The resort is about 10 km away from Mambajao. It is in a quiet part of the island. The resort is right by the cliff and there are stairs which wind down to the water. The view during sunrise and sunset are spectacular. The hosts are very accommodating and flexible. They are always around to give recommendations and to answer any questions. For example, I tweaked my reservation because of changes in travel plans and the hosts obliged. No issues raised. The rooms are very clean and well appointed, the ground well manicured, and the staff always pleasant and ready to assist. If you want to have a quiet and relaxing base to explore Camiguin, I highly recommend this place.

Our stay in Camiguin was wonderful! Coming here to Tongatok Cliff really helped us experience the island better. They provided shuttle from the airport to their hotel. Once we arrived we were greeted by their staff and the owner. They were so friendly and polite. This hotel has your necessities. If they don’t have it for you, you don’t need it. We ate at their restaurant every night. Worth it! Special shout out to Joey. She is amazing cook and does so many things! The environment is super safe and the views of the area are amazing. My group of 8 enjoyed their stay here and would definitely come back here for vacation. They have their own private cliff side / ocean view! Definitely worth the walk down.

Rooms are not what are in the pictures! My *********** stated that the rooms can accommodated 5 adults + 1 child ! I agreed on the extra charge of Php 800 / pax, but when I asked for shower curtains to place around the rod, the staff no we do not have/we do not provide! When I asked extra pillows, the staff pointed to the pillows stocked on the corner, those pillows that you sit on/chair pillows in my opinion ! Hello!!!!. The bookings were under my name so telling me that the IDs given were not enough is IRRELEVANT! YES WE GOT OUT IN 2 MINUTES AFTER STAYING IN THE LOWER ROOM THAT IS TOO HOT AS THE AC ISN'T ABLE TO WORK PROPERLY, THE TOILET/SHOWER THAT HAS NO CURTAIN. THE UPPER APARTMENT THAT HAS EN ENGINE SOUND WALL FAN. AGAIN, ANOTHER SHOWER UP WITH NO SHOWER CURTAIN. MR. OWNER, YOUR WIFE WAS ALMOST WANTED TO KICK ME OUT BUT I HAD NO OTHER BOOKING THAT MINUTE WE ARRIVED SO I EXPLAINED IT IS OK AS LONG YOU MAKE THAT 2 MATTRESSES YOU STOCKED ON TOP OF THE BED. WHEN WE LEFT THE PROPERTY, YOU JUST WALKED BY AND SAYING "I CANNOT HELP YOU. I AM SPEECHLESS".. THERE WERE YOUR EXACT WORDS. SO I JUST REPLIED, YOU CAN HAVE MY MONEY BUT I CANNOT ROT MY FAMILY/COMPANY IN YOUR RESORT WHERE NOTHING TO DO AND THINGS NOT WORKING PROPERLY.. NO ! THE ROOMS WERE NOT PROPERLY MADE. YOUR WIFE EVEN SCOLDED THE STAFF AND THEY WERE SMIRKING AT EACH OTHER. SORRY, I KNOW HOW HOSPITALITY WORKS AS MY JOB IS DEALING WITH HOTELS AROUND THE GLOBE. THE WAY YOUR WIFE/STAFF MET US WAS EMBARRASSING FOR ME TO SAY THE LEAST AND THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS AGREE WITH THE EXTRA COST..! CHECK MY *********** HOTEL DETAILS ABOUT YOUR PROPERTY ON HOW MANY THAT "APARTMENT" CAN ACCOMMODATE. I SHOWED TO YOUR WIFE THAT WAS WHY SHE AGREED TO MAKE THE BED ! OK? AGAIN, YOUR RESORT SHOULD BE AVOIDED BY FAMILIES. YOUR RESORT IS AN OK "BACKPACKERS DEN"..

This is a beautiful place. It is really nice for sunset. The food is not the cheapest but is really good. The staff and owners are really nice. But I didn't stay there over night, so I can't said anything about the rooms. Easy parking and not far from everything
