We would give hotel Lopez 7 out of 10. Everything is okay while nothing is outstanding. This goes for the room, the bathroom, the pool. The breakfast I liked. The lady is friendly. We got eggs, toast, fruite, orange juice and coffee or tea. Campeche disappointed me. We ate at three restaurants: one was very expensive, the second one had only beer and no other alcoholic drinks and the last one (BODEGA 59 Social Kitchen & Bar) was quite good with american food and a glass of wine. The historic center has been beautifully renovated. The houses look great and are beautifully lit at night. We visited Centro Cultural Casa No. 6. That is interesting because you can see how the rich merchants used to live. There are not many sights in Campeche. And what there is, is not much. For example, the city walls are really very small city walls. And the Malecon, the boulevard along the sea, is a road with a lot of traffic with a bare sidewalk along it. I can't make more of it. Playa Bonita has terrible reviews; we decided against going there.

This is our home in Campeche. The staff are kind and helpful, and do their best to insure a good experience for their guests. The cleanliness and maintenance of the property are excellent , as is the quality of linens and bedding. Room choices range from basic to suites- all are reasonably priced, A basic but good breakfast of fruits, egg dishes and toast are complimentary, as are coffee/tea and juice. Location can’t be beat, and car parking is offered to guests. Nice pool and sunning lounge complete the package. We’ll be returning guests. For sure.

Good location for the malecon, Calle 59 restaurants, and Plz. Principal. Attractive floor plan. The foliage lends an airy, tropical feel. Clean, a/c worked fine. Elevator. My room was small, but it had a window. Some rooms don’t. Decent sized pool. Very helpful reception staff. Breakfast at the adjoining café is just ok.

Very small and simple rooms with nice bedding. The locking system was a bit dodgy- almost left the door open because it wouldn’t lock easily. The pool is very small and at the back of the building with limited sitting areas. Breakfast was disappointing and very limited and there was hardly any seating.

Centrally located hotel which offers all what you can expect of a three star hotel. In particular it was very nice to use the pool after a very hot day visiting archeological sites. American breakfast is available but for more choices one has to eat outside.

Updated rooms and public areas. Nice COOL pool. Wonderful staff and we especially loved our breakfast host Mary. Her grace under pressure with demanding guests was remarkable. Front desk and housekeeping staff get kudos too. Free parking is the cherry on top for drivers. Perfect location doesn’t hurt either.

Rooms not large but very comfortable and clean. Good shower and quiet hotel. Nice Art Deco style for character and good location for walking distances in the historical center. Did not have breakfast there as it had been arranged nearby.

We were not able to book our usual hotel for Carneval-so we booked here. As we were staying five nights we were upgraded to a suite that was quiet and comfortable. Pool area was very clean as were the public areas. Staff were always there and helpful. The star was Mary, our breakfast host. She always had a smile, even when overwhelmed by large numbers of guests and performed with aplomb. Location, cleanliness and customer awareness made this trip so enjoyable.
