We were in the area as we wanted to do a walk in Cania Gorge National Park. It is located basically at the end of the valley before you get to Lake Cania. The staff were very welcoming on our arrival. We stayed in an air conditioned cabin which was very clean, tidy and well appointed. As it was 36 degrees we went for a swim in the pool. It was very refreshing. The kids were having fun in the water park. At 4.30 each day they feed the Rainbow Lorikeets and Cockatoos. It was so much fun! The bed was comfortable and the park was very quiet. In the morning I drove out to the lake to take a sunrise photo. After leaving we went and explored Cania Gorge NP. Great place to stay and great value.

We’ve stayed at Big 4/Breeze Cania Gorge a few times now, from tenting to the hillside cabins, and on this occasion it was off, it seems to have lost its vibe. The bird life was very quiet, not like recent visits where birds where everywhere all the time, the bird feeding was not like it used to be, just standing around and waiting for action but nothing this time. Very disappointed. It’s recently had a change of management, which the park workers are polite and friendly, and most of the reception ladies. Fire pits are available but have an order in by 3:30, we were 10 mins late and the staff just shrugged their shoulders. The leaflet stated wood orders to be in by 3:30, not the fire pit order. Email acknowledgement could be improved also. The toilet/shower facilities were generally clean, good hot water in the showers however the temp fluctuated often as people were using them and making the shower burning to luke warm, so be mindful when others are using also! The pool/water park was busy, very cold even in 30deg days. The ground surrounding the pool should be considered for some maintenance or upgrade, it can be very slippery!! We saw multiple slips. The jumping pillow and tennis courts were very popular, but again saw no one playing the frisbee golf, this area could be revamped feels very under-utilised. Pizza night was great and convenient filled the spot, 9” pizzas varied from $10-25 and also 15” pizzas varied from $16-32. Orders have to be in early however. Coffees also available from reception. There is a little convenience store in reception but the shelves were not stocked, only 50% full. The park was very dry, desperately need some rain, and the nearby dam only has 26% capacity and again did not deliver with any red claw activity. The national park walks near by are great, however again very dry, no water running through the creeks. Dripping Rock however was surprisingly still dripping! We’ll look to return again in the future but not in a hurry due to this underwhelming visit.

What a lovely quiet peaceful place. Had the opportunity of staying here for 3 nights in our van. Staff are very welcoming hospitable and knowledgeable. Park and amenities are very clean a credit to all the staff. Pools and slide are great for all ages to cool off in on a hot day. Huge jumping pillow. Plenty of activities to keep you occupied or just sit back and enjoy the bush setting and the surrounding wildlife. Don't miss Saturday night pizza. You won't be disappointed. We had a great stay. Thank you. Ray & Jodi

The park was understaffed, the staff were rude, the park facilities are extremely run down and poor conditions. No meals being made as chef quit job and no communication from staff. The jumping pillow has no cover is super hot kids can’t use it, the pools where green by time we left, the park flooded when rained Christmas Eve, no drains for caravans to run grey water pipe into at any sights. Staff never even attended to see if campers were ok when we all got flooded on grounds. Laundry has 2 washing machine 1 dryer and only coins no card options. Toilets/ showers was hot as soon as opensed the door made you feel sick the cleanness is not there the park needs a way better management and also needs a full clean up. Maintenance is not there at all sooo much work needed. Not 1 nice garden to even look at, we traveled so far and even left a night early we where done! The cabins are not upto standards to be having people sleep in them, the aircon make a lot of noise are not cleaned or serviced, the cleanness is disgusting we even upgraded to a better cabin and no better just more money. Both cabins do not lock from the inside with a key. The park is in need of a full revamp. We won’t be back or give any good review

Abused, Chased Down and our Vehicle Damaged by irate park manager! Zero star cannot be given! Looking for a place to camp with our dog in Cania Gorge we took a slow drive through the park with our dog safely secured in the back tray. Having seen the pet friendly sign and another dog at the reception we assumed this would be okay....WE WERE SO WRONG! After entering the park and slowly driving towards the back of the park we were accosted by a speeding polaris, which stopped in a clowd of dust. We were told very rudely and under no uncertain terms that we had to leave immediately as "dogs" were not allowed in the park. I questioned him about the dog I had seen at the reception. He told me that there was not such dog and that I had made it up. Confused by the senseless exchange I slowly headed towards the park exit and the reception, all while being closely tailed 'being seen off' by the man on the polaris. The dog was still sitting at the reception when I passed, so I got out of my vehicle and pointed it out to the man who was still behind us. He then mouthed something aggressively so I gave him a much deserved finger! What comes next is absolutely crazy! I hop back in my car and hear the roar of the polaris engine speeding towards our vehicle and the very busy pool area filled with familes with young children. Before I know it the man is at my car window screaming at me to get out of his park and that I'm never welcome there ever again. He couldn't explain why there was an issue with our restrained 'friendly' dog being in the pet friendly park and continued to perform like a man posessed. It was apparent that this man was the park manager by this time. My partner had joined the heated exchange by this time and further infuriated the man, who was not prepared to not have the last word. I then attempted to drive out of the park. Again, I heard the roar of the polaris engine, this time trying to cross to the passenger side to attack my partner. When I realised what was happening and concerned about the safety of the small children walking on the road I braked. The polaris then smashed straight up the back of my ute, damaging my tailgate and injuring my dog that was still tied in the back. At no point did I receive an apology from him and furthermore he did not have the common decency to return any of my messages to help organise my vehicle repair. The park also would not disclose who he was. The park itself is alright, the wildlife and water park make it...But the manager is completely unsuitable for the position he holds and detracts from an otherwise nice park.

The park was under staffed so the service was a bit undesirable, no information was given what so ever except for a map of the park.. we almost missed out on dinner due to lack of communication.. the grounds were very dry and dusty. Water park and jumping pillow didn’t start until 9/9:30am.. all the kids in the park were up waiting by 7am! We would love to stay again, but we will it time to see if there are improvements made. It is a family friendly place and our kids loved it.

Best spot for families. The waterpark caters for young kids as well as older kids and adults, shaded areas and well set up with 3 pools. Sport hires and heaps to do outdoors for all ages. Fun wildlife experiences like kangaroos on your door steps and bird feeding. Great friendly staff. The only thing we noted for improvement was a bit more care in the cleaning but other than that it was one of my favourite holidays.
