This hotel and its location far exceeded our expectations. Service was incredible. We really felt everyone was genuinely concerned with the enjoyment of our stay. The hotel enjoys a lakeside location. The area and hotel feel upscale, no tacky tourism. Very good food both in this hotel and sister hotel The Park. Great gym with new equipment. Modern spa. Piano bar in the evening. Exceptionally clean. We will be back soon. A memorial trip for all the right reasons.

Lovely building in a great position on the lake however, the room rate at the beginning of October is too high to justify the lack of amenities and service. The receptionists were efficient but lacking warmth to the point of being austere and cold. No offer of help was given with bags on arrival or departure, nor any pleasantries exchanged as to how we found our stay. On asking if a request for a quieter room at time if booking had been taken into account, the query was received in an offhand and dismissive manner and we found ourselves in a room closest to the elevator (an area not known for quiet). There is also poor soundproofing as you can hear the toilet flushing in the room above. The room is rather sterile and nothing was provided in terms of complementary water nor the possibility of making tea / coffee. The only saving grace were the staff in the dining room who were courteous and engaged. We would not return as the lack of hospitality was unacceptable for the price paid.

Fantastic position and character on the side of the lake. Friendly, professional and loyal staff, and good that it is family run. We had a lake view room with balcony, which had stunning views across the lake. Breakfast was excellent. There was good off street private parking with garages. Will definitely return again.

We had a fabulous week in this lovely hotel. It was a special holiday and we treated ourselves to a lakeside view room. It was well worth it especially as we had a lot of rain that week & we could sit and watch the world go by. We loved the breakfasts especially being able to squeeze our own oranges. Lots of choice of mostly cold items but the bacon was delicious and there would always be scrambled eggs, sometimes mushrooms or cherry tomatoes. We were lucky to have one night that we could sit outside and have a meal by the lake which was lovely. We loved the fact they had their own boat which did trips daily at no cost. Which was handy if you couldn’t work out the complicated ferry timetable!!! We had a lovely massage and I had a facial in the spa area. We also managed to sit on the lovely pool terraces looking out onto the lake. They also had beds by the pool. The gardens were beautifully kept. We enjoyed the wine tasting at the Hotel Cannero which is run by the same family, We just enjoyed the atmosphere of Cannero and just relaxing by the lake. This place is a real Gem. Well done to all the staff that help to keep the lovely hotel special.

Probably the most relaxing elegant and stylish hotel we have ever been to. Staff very polite and helpful. Food had amazing choice for a boutique hotel. Beds and rooms very stylish and clean. Location is the best ever views of the lake and mountains ! Felt like I had been transported into the 1950s and the elegance of this place is a hidden gem for sure. Perfect place to relax with views to die for. One of our best vacation experiences to date!

Little gem of a hotel with amazing views
Amazing cozy hotel with gorgeous views on the promenade. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms perfect with the balcony and lake view. Breakfast buffet was very good and the entire staff was so nice. Would highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Lake Maggiore area.

Had a fantastic time at this hotel, although there are things that could have been better. Still overall I give it 5 stars. The good: amazing location, amazing views, peaceful, tastefully decorated, delicious breakfast, private free parking, friendly staff, clean and well maintained. Again, 5 stars, would come back! What they could do better: sauna is private use, meaning you have to block a timeslot and during our 3 days there, there was no convenient time slots. Same for the massage treatments, as they stopped working early (5pm) you would have to sacrifice a day to have a massage. I would have loved to be able to use the sauna or get a massage in the evenings. Also a nespresso machine in the room would have given it a bit more quality. I would have loved to take my first coffee in the morning on the balcony. But, these are minor suggestions, as said we loved it here and would love to come back to this beautiful place.
