ViewPoint Hotel

I had the chance to stay at this lovely property for a quick business trip that I had to take to the area. My conference was at the Cliff House Maine, and they were sold out - so I found this property local and I totally lucked out. The property is stunning, and I was there in off season! The grounds are immaculate, the staff are so kind and accommodating, and the rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. Although I was traveling for business, I felt like this was a vacation and was eager to return to my room (oasis) each evening. Do not miss the chance to stay here! I plan to return and enjoy their expansion efforts with a new spa facility, and to enjoy the property in the warmer months. They also have two other properties local with restaurants as well -- I am adding them to my list too!

We had the most amazing weekend at the Viewpoint! We were there for a wedding and everything was amazing. The property itself was gorgeous and you can’t beat the views. The entire staff was so friendly! Loved the Prosecco and cold brew available in the lobby. Such a cute area to walk around and check out the lighthouse! We enjoyed the hot tub and pool as well. We can’t wait to go back!!

Best view in Maine with the most fun atmosphere and vibe. This place is my favorite because I feel like I’m in a completely different world when I come here. Every room has great space and amenities. Spa, incredible. Very quiet and calming atmosphere. Hands down 10/10.

I’m not sure you could find a more stunning view from a hotel window than the rooms at the Viewpoint. We stayed in a shore room which faces the Nubble Lighthouse just steps away from the water’s edge. The rooms are a brand new addition built into the rock and are luxuriously appointed. The glass shower that lets you look out to the lighthouse is unbelievable. The staff at the Viewpoint was so warm and attentive to our needs. We enjoyed the baths at the hotel sitting in the hot tub in a snowstorm and the sauna can’t be beat. I had a massage with Avalon at the spa. One of the best I ever had. My wife loved the facial treatment there too. Will have to return in the summer, but it feels like you have the place to yourself in the off season.

Million dollar views and a low key luxury atmosphere! We stayed in Room 104, which has two bedrooms with king beds, two full baths, a small kitchen, a living room and a balcony with room for four. The views are breathtaking - the pictures don’t do it justice. Close, unimpeded views of Nubble Light House and the ocean. If you never left your room and just sat outside admiring the ocean, you’d have a great trip. This is not a traditional hotel - it’s more of a blend between an AirBNB and a hotel. I like it - but if you need constant amenities like room service, this may not be for you. The decor is minimal coastal - perfect for the setting. I had no problem getting help from staff if we needed it - all were very friendly and happy to take care of whatever we needed. The saltwater pool was just steps away from our room; there are pool towels and pool noodles available to float. We did not eat at the hotel or sister hotels, but everyone who did said food was good. The hotel is in close walking distance of several places to eat - and within a mile of Long Sands and Short Sands beaches. Loved having an in room washer and dryer. There were cool offerings like morning oceanside yoga, private art lessons and a complimentary wine tasting (with non-alcoholic options - which is very thoughtful). If the only complaint is the coffee offering - it’s like a teabag and not great - we’re in good shape. Bring a travel pour over set and you’ll be all set - or borrow a complimentary bike & head into the Short Sands side to several good coffee shops. The amazing view will keep you from getting too mad about anything! In a day and age where nothing is cheap, this is 100 percent worth it. Can’t wait to come back.

You can’t go wrong with The Viewpoint for a stay in York. Although we only stayed a night- it was filled with amazing spa treatments, exceptional customer service, clean and well appointed rooms and views for days. With a clear view of Nubble Light, we imagined future summer days on the porch taking it all in. (Not to mention we hear the food when the restaurant is open is top notch.) With the cold temps, we enjoyed the same from the seating area and one of the bedrooms. We will be back.
