The hotel is like a beautiful, small but cosy, mansion. Every little detail is well chosen and interesting here. Good choise of breakfast -some choices of eggs with bacon and fruits. It is appx 15 minutes on foot to the V&A. The area is safe and green.

We stayed at Cape Diem for 4 nights and had a very comfortable stay. We had a lovely welcome from Samuel and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was very well equipped but overly bright in the mornings - it could really do with some black out curtains. Breakfast was a little hit & miss. The fresh fruit was often depleted. On the first day my omelette was given to another guest. On 2 occasions my wife's soft poached eggs arrived hard boiled. These things were always rectified but given the limited number of guests it was a little surprising. The location is very quiet and only a short walk from a supermarket & bars. The V&A waterfront is only 10 to 15 minutes walk away.

Our introduction to South Africa began here and what a perfect way to start. This historic house has been modernised with taste, sophistication and understated elegance… we loved it. Our room was spacious with a 2 basin en suite bathroom and such a comfortable bed. It was so peaceful and our sleep was undisturbed. The garden is beautifully landscaped with a lovely pool. Breakfast was taken on the sunny verandah or indoors if preferred and included a cooked breakfast made to order. All the staff, Samuel, Fortune, Melinda, Patience and Bob were super helpful and delightful. And there’s a welcome glass of wine to get you off to the best start! Location for the Waterfront, Table Mountain and getting out to Camps Bay is excellent. We can’t wait to return!

We stayed for 2 nights , location easy to walk to V & A waterfront, staff excellent, room nice we had superior type , great pool area to relax

Beautiful setting, and fabulous facilities super knowledgeable owner (Bianca) who advised us on trips and stunning restaurants. Perfect location to Cape Town, and amazing facilities. Fabulous staff and beautiful rooms. 15mins walk to the water front and shopping centre.

Found this gem of a place, on our arrival, the welcome of all the Staff and the owner Daniele was fantastic, great location, excellent breakfast and very comfortable room, everyday from 4pm they offer you complementary wine. The manager was Mélina who couldn’t have done more to help us out, she organised for us a private driver and booked an amazing restaurant in a wine estate with glorious views. Also a big thank you to Samuel and everyone working there, we can highly recommend this place

What a beautiful and well run boutique hotel. After a grueling flight from the US, we arrived to find that our reservation had strangely been canceled. But no worries the fabulous manager (Melina from Germany) put us right in our room and settled us in with no hassle. My daughter and I were grateful for that the room was beautiful and had an adjacent courtyard with interesting Succulent plants. Every inch of the boutique hotel was well cared for and curated. A delicious Chenin Blanc and sparkling mineral water are put out every afternoon for the guests. Lounging around the pool was so relaxing and lovely. It’s a quiet place with beautiful nooks and crannies, including a rooftop. Melina gave us excellent advice,how to navigate the city specifically the waterfront and restaurants and shopping. All her recommendations were spot on. It’s a beautiful, quiet place to stay. I highly recommend Cape Diem and look forward to returning someday on my next trip to Cape Town.
