If you want to feel welcome, want to cool off in a pool, looking for quiet and clean room added with a service that makes you feel your at your friends house, the Cape Riviera will be the right place for you. For solo travellers: I felt safe and welcome here at the guesthouse and in the area.

Spacious, comfortable and very clean room and bathroom, good and friendly service, very nice breakfast, and an elegant and comfortable guest lounge and balcony in a beautifully restored old Cape Town home. There's a view over Cape Town harbour, and Cape Town's main attractions are within easy reach.

Wonderful guesthouse with friendly staff. Delicious full breakfasts served daily. My only issue was the cleanliness level in my bedroom. Otherwise well positioned, lovely pool area. A nice sanctuary to have away from the chaos of Cape Town

We loved everything about our 2-day stay at Cape Riviera. We felt safe, comfortable and spoiled. The breakfast was so enjoyable, we didn't want to leave. The location is great and close to a lot of the major sightseeing attractions in Cape Town.

This monumental house with colonial style rooms offers an excellent rest and escape from bustling CapeTown. Very close to table mountain trails and a short uber ride from city centre and coast! I will stay here again when coming back and will recommend it to all my friends

I enjoyed my stay. The host and the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was spacious with a clean bed. The view from the communal lounge and terrace was amazing. Perfect and safe neighbourhood and close to Table Mountain.

We stayed one night at the Cape Riviera and I wish it had been more! Every detail of the Inn was stunning and the staff and owner could not have been more accommodating. Our room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and we felt well-cared for after our 14 hour flight. I'm still salivating when I think of the breakfast the next morning. There is a lovely terrace with a sweeping view. I highly recommend it!

There are hotels and guesthouses that do that extra step for you. Some of them are willing to do the extra mile. Well, the management of Cape Riviera runs the marathon for you even without asking. I use a medical device for sleeping and this gives problems during loadshedding periods. Even without asking called Owen (the owner) his electrical installation contractor to change his battery system so that my medical device kept on working during the night. Where do you find this kind of service these days? Further, everything else is more than okay. Room 1 is specious with good bedding and ditto bathroom. Breakfast and honesty bar both good. It was in short a very good decision to return to Cape Riviera guest house after our first visit in 2015.
