If you love wildlife and nature but love your own creature comforts too, this magical place is hard to beat; immersed in the sights and sounds of a beautiful environment. That Greg and Keiko have built this sanctuary so far from the nearest town is incredible. We arrived in a rental awd and enjoyed the drive in! Bumpy but scenic. Greg and Keiko were so very welcoming; perfect hosts. We fell in love with our room, with plunge pool (perfect for cooling down) and view over lagoon, forest and ocean. All in the company of scarlet macaws, parrots, spider monkeys, capuchins, agouti, pelicans etc etc. There was no need to be concerned about lack of aircon at night, or biting insects as there was a frequent breeze off the pacific. The bedroom fan was efficient. Bed was comfortable and with the ocean to lull you to sleep and howlers to wake you on a morning, what more could you want? Ahhh, great food!! Fruit, yoghurt, omelette/rice/toast for breakfast, a fresh salad or pasta for lunch and delicious three course dinner. So healthy too with the freshest fruit and vegetables (yet the grocery store is quite a journey!). Thank you chef Soupa-Mario!! All served in the most gorgeous platform-restaurant above the rainforest. We enjoyed exploring the beach and were lucky enough to see a baby turtle release (staff can tell you when as they’re linked to the turtle-rescue WhatsApp group). And we loved our visit to Ave Azul de la Osa (just 20 mins drive away) to meet zoologist Patrick who protects the genes of rare birds. Such an interesting guy who shared so much wildlife information. We even met his rescue crocodile. But mostly we just immersed ourselves in the natural surroundings of Laguna Vista. We stayed 4 nights, but hopefully next time it can be longer. Thank you so much to Greg, Keiko and team Laguna Vista!

We stayed with our 8yo son and had the best time at this most beautiful place Greg and Keyko created. The owners are wonderful, they helped me with all my requests / questions prior to our arrival and made us feel so welcome during our stay. If you're looking for adventure or just peace in Tropical Paradise, then this is perfect for you. Greg & Keyko were the best hosts & Mario's food is delicious! Jinenez Airport, Corcovado National Park or a beautiful beach to relax are just an hour or so away by (a much needed) 4x4. You can do turtle tours, horse riding, kayaking with Crocodiles... or just stay in the pool in the incredible garden with breathtaking views.

Just spent 6 nights at LagunaVista Villas and I highly recommend this lodge located in one of the most beautiful, unique, jungle meets beach settings. The staff and owner are warm and welcoming and very happy ensuring their guests have a once in lifetime trip to the OSA Peninsula. Our stand-alone room was perched above the lagoon from where we watched daily the jungle, lagoon and ocean animals, birds, monkeys, crocs, and insects participate in the circle of life, paying no attention to us as they went about their routine. From the lodge we walked along the endless beach, bodysurfed, and bird watched. Hiked to hidden waterfalls where we swim, get waterfall massages, and enjoy this "Jungle Book" life. One evening below the lodge, on the beach we witnessed turtle releases which was truly incredible. We ate well and drank good wine and were fortunate to hear from the owners how it all began in 1992 to what today is a place where the jungle and all its inhabitants come to you no matter where you are on the property - your private dipping pool, king bed, patio, eating area. Day 1 - enjoyed private casita with dipping pool & patio, watching/hearing the jungle Day 2 - rinse repeat, with added zip line trip to the top of the jungle Day 3 - rinse repeat, with added waterfall canyoneering Day 4 - relax all day at lodge with the local jungle animals Day 5 - turtle release below lodge. Short hike to hidden waterfall all to our selves Day 6 - short hike to hidden water again! So much fun. Incredible sunrises, sunsets, jungle animal interactions, staff hospitality, accommodations every day. I personally want to thank the staff of LaguanaVillas for treating us like family. To the owners, Greg and Kaiko, thanks for bringing your vision to reality so that others can live the Jungle Book experience. We will be back!!!

From Kim and Brian - western New York USA! The bathroom alone was worth traveling to this villa - absolutely stunning! Not to mention the option for a private terrace with plunge pool …. Absolutely refreshing and watching the Macaws / parrots ect.. and the lagoon creatures like crocodiles.. was very entertaining.. and not the mention the ocean surprises like seeing dolphins / whales and possibly the sights of a orca .. The open air concept with sights / sounds of the ocean and jungle - Along with the monkeys …. I would consider this property a masterpiece ( of simple elegance ) considering it’s location and climate… and the owners really have a love and passion for what they accomplished and hearing about their story was a complete pleasure. We are truly blessed to have had the opportunity to visit their creation and enjoyed not only the beautiful grounds but also their amusing company. PS. The click Beatle encounter was so much fun! and enjoyed the local (Peruvian ) ceviche on our last night - Thank you guys so much! And Best wishes in all your future endeavors and to your team at LVV!

It's a lovely lodge. Each villa and the main building has a wonderful view of the lagoon below and the ocean. The pool is beautiful, and the food is good. It has fairly easy access to the Carate entrance of Corcovado National Park. The service is quite nice. The room had a small soaking pool and patio. There is no AC, but the room had lots of ventilation through the patio doors. The beds are comfortable.

We just returned to the northeastern U.S. from a thoroughly enjoyable trip to Costa Rica. This was the first time either my wife or I had been to Central America. After one night in San Jose, we flew to Puerto Jimenez and then took a taxi to Laguna Vista Villas. I have to say that this place exceeded our expectations. The location at the top of a hill overlooking a lagoon and the Pacific is stunning. The individual villas are all thoughtfully located, are very comfortable, and many feature a private dipping pool for cooling off in the warm, humid weather. From the facility, it is easy to walk to the beach or schedule private kayaking tours of the lagoon and nature hikes in Corcovado national park. The scenery and wildlife in and around Laguna Vista Villas is magical. There were scarlet macaws nesting in a tree in front of our villa, and monkeys made regular appears in the surrounding trees. On top of all this, host/owners Greg and Keiko were absolutely charming and attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this location for a memorable stay in a beautiful part of the world.

We can’t recommend Laguna Vista Villas enough if you love unique wildlife, stunning views, and genuinely kind people. It was an amazing experience. Franco picked us up from Puerto Jimenez and even stopped to show us spider monkeys on the way. When we arrived, the staff gave us a warm and wonderful welcome. Despite being in a remote location, every meal was delicious and featured authentic Costa Rican flavors, thanks to Chef Santos. We spotted capuchin monkeys at breakfast, spider monkeys from the pool, and howler monkeys at sunset from the patio. Daily sightings of resident scarlet macaws and toucans, plus other unique wildlife of the Osa Peninsula, made our stay even more magical. Johnathan, the hotel manager, set up an excellent tour to Corcovado Park with John, a knowledgeable guide who showed us anteaters, monkeys, and poison dart frogs, along with some breathtaking sights. Fredrico was an outstanding fishing guide in the lagoon beneath our villa, and Santos cooked up a fantastic meal with the fish we caught that evening. The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and we hope to come back soon. If you're looking for a truly unforgettable experience in one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, be sure to add Laguna Vista Villas to your bucket list.

This place is in a very remote area, you will need a 4x4 car, two hours deep in the forest, the lodge is sitting on a cliff looking at the laguna and the ocean, the villas have a 360 degree view and on top of all sit the infinity pool with stunning views. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is great considering how deep in the forest you are. The national park is steps away and you can do various tour but you need to reserve in advance. Unforgettable experience, by far the best place I have been to relax and recharge, I will stay again.
