The room is different than you describe online.
Services are really poor, staff attitudes were so bad for any hospitality standards.
I rarely gave negative comments towards hotel booking, but I am really unhappy this time.

The room is bright, and the window of the room (including the bathroom), although not facing the sea, still has a view of the neat lawn and the sea. Not to mention restaurants and the beach just steps away. A peaceful sea. Reminder: The restaurant must be reserved in advance!

truly amazing, however spoiled by a maid walking in on us without knocking and then a mix up with rooms, saying we only booked one night instead of the 2 we actually had booked. otherwise would’ve been a perfect stay!!! Breakfast was amazing and the spa is stunning!! The issue got sorted with a simple apology which makes me feel like it wasn’t taken as seriously as it should, due to this we never had our room made up and simply a sorry doesn’t seem to cover the lack of privacy we then felt for the rest of the stay.

Just came back from the most idyllic weekend at the Carbis Bay Estate and our accommodation Hare pod. We were celebrating 2 big birthdays and we arrived at our pod to lots of treats , cards and balloons . All the facilities at the Estate are lovely . We enjoyed the spa immensely and Carbis Bay beach was stunning . The sand and sea are just beautiful. A huge mention for all the staff who were all so friendly and helpful. I didn’t get all their names but we had Josh and Sam as our concierge’s who were super helpful.

To read my whole beef with The Ugly Butterfly please read my review on their page. TLDR of the situation: we booked a long weekend (given we’re coming all the way from London) stay at the hotel solely because the restaurant was there and we wanted to celebrate my birthday with a meal. The restaurant abruptly closed 17-18 days before our booking and did not even try to help us with the hotel booking wich had a 30 day cancellation policy (all their rooms do). It did take quite a few days and multiple calls to get someone on the phone who actually could make the decision. At that point I wasn’t even expecting a refund but just wanted clarity where will I be spending my birthday and what kind of arrangements should I make. Luckily enough Elma was kind enough to refund us so we could make other last minute birthday arrangements. To be honest I am looking at the calendar and trying to figure out when to visit Carbis Bay anyway just to thank Elma.

FANTASTIC Absolutely amazing and a HUGE Thank you for your hospitality, food and lots more. Stayed there last weekend and ate at the Beach Club and Orangery as well as a party function. The Beach Club staff were out of this world as usual. They engage and help was brilliant. The food and it's quality and presentation was again, out of this world. The effort put into the evening function was something else and made the celebration a day I will never forget. The time e spent at the spa was first class together with the professional approach from all of the staff. Thank you all once again.

Good location , spa staff looked down on us as we weren’t guests at carbis . Felt like we were being watched constantly and on a time constraint
