Scandia Motel

For the location and the price it is ok. Serviceable. Easy transportation options. Right by the army navy high school

The place was easy to find, accesible, close to Carlsbad village. You get what you paid for.

Room was clean although extremely small. Train horn was startling as it blew directly behind the motel. Online reservations does not allow motel to choose guests so many younger guests returning after the bars. All in all, a decent stay.

I showed up at 2pm and they wanted $20 extra to check in. Then I had to air the room out for over an hour to get rid of disinfectant smell even though It didn't look clean. Then I really learned my lesson that night when there was no heat and no blankets so I basically froze all night and had to sleep in all of my clothes.

Room was clean, small kitchenette, fridge, microwave. Comfortable, and amazing location. You can walk to all the best parts of Carlsbad village. Room was freezing though , had ac for hotter days but only a small space heater for cold times

Had to force tge doir open. Smelled like bleach when we arrived but the floor left my skeeping socks dirty. Gair in the shower, ick!

The room was clean. Friendly staff at the reception. Honestly I didn't expect all this for the money I paid.

It was in a good location, however, there were not enough pillows, the towels had stains, the sink was slow to drain
