Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort

A bit outdated and smells old, but right on the beach and in dt Carlsbad. Full calendar of activities. Free parking 👍

The most basic room is located next to the avenue, literally one or two meters away, so we have to keep the curtain closed all day. No view. And the air conditioning really needs upgrade.

Perfect location in downtown Carlsbad. An easy walk to anything you may possibly need. The Jacuzzi unfortunately, was not heating properly when we were there, so was not able to enjoy. The pool is in the front of the Resort next to a very popular restaurant. It’s not very quiet and not relaxing to set at.  they have a beautiful green lawn that overlooks the ocean with lots of lounging chairs that is decently, quiet and relaxing. The elevator is slow and old, and I preferred to use the stairs.  the king size bed was very comfortable to sleep in. We enjoyed having a little kitchen that we were able to keep leftover food in and reheat .

This is a great location. We got there in the evening and there were no more rooms available we requested regarding the view. However, still would stay again. There can be lots of road/train noise at times atleast for our room. Room and kitchen had everything we needed!

Great courtyard area with pool and adult spa. Direct access to the beach and great dining choices in walking distance.

Room overall was very nice. Window "Shades" were broken, but we made them work. (Did not inform staff). Room we stayed in had a lot of outside noise from the coast highway. Friday night there was lots music from across the street and people arguing outside that made it difficult to get a good rest. Saturday night was much better.

We made a reservation 2 1/2 months in advance and requested a nice view from our room and we were given a room at the front of the hotel on the very noisy Main Street, which was very disappointing. Our bathroom was also quite dated with rust red stains between the tile and the tub which is a little offputting and the reception staff were quite cool and seemed a little unengaged.

Great staff and the room was very clean with comfortable beds, such cute town with little shops all within walking distance! Great place to stay!
