We had a meal in the restaurant before heading off for a weekend in London on the Caledonian Sleeper. Firstly the food was out of this world, as good as any Indian food in the area if not better. Pete, the owner, was extremely welcoming and went through recommendations. The waitress was lovely too. The only negatives were, and we only mention these as constructive to help improve the business as Carnoustie needs good restaurants. The ambiance isn’t great, it looks nice enough but could do with some soft background music as not great atmosphere hearing footy commentary from the bar next door. Could also do with some soft lighting. There was no wine list, choice is red or white. Although the waitress was very polite and friendly it might add to the experience opening the wine and pouring our glasses rather than plonking the bottle into the table. These are very small negatives and we as above only mentioned to be constructive and help a good experience become great.

As a large family we recently rented an apartment in Carnoustie, there was 2 kids under 2 and 11 year old, 18 year old and 3 30+. We stumbled across this wonderful little place round the corner from us and made a point of visiting with all the family daily whilst away. Staff were lovely and welcoming and nothing was too much Were planning on coming back and will be making this our place to go Thanks to the lovely staff and locals tor making is feel welcome

Possibly the worst Indian food I have ever tasted. We ordered 3 set meals for home delivery. The only thing that went well was the delivery arrived on time. Everything else was a complete waste of money. With so much competition in the town they seriously need to up their standard of food.

We heard some very good things about this newly managed restaurant and came with friends. Restaurant was large and comfy with inviting lighting and some lovely booths to relax in with friends. The manager and staff were all very friendly and helpful. I had a landori chicken and lamb sizzler which was superb as was my egg rice and a huge minced naan. Penny had the prawn sizzler which was tasty. The menu was diverse with pizzas and gyros, all made on site. One of the only times I couldn't finish and took some home. Afterwards we retired to the bar area where we played a friendly game of pool. An excellent evening was had by all. Highly recommend.

EuroFanzone looks like a disaster. Seems that outside screens won’t work as it’s too light. Venue moved indoors as it’s darker in the restaurant. Not happy paying £15 for that experience when those in the bar will watch the same match for free. Might just stay at home.

Excellent Indian menu here and great, friendly service. Had a delicious Madras curry on latest visit. Lovely rich sauce, perfect amount of heat without overpowering the flavours. Lots of tender lamb in the dish, considerably more than some others I've visited recently. Recommended :-)

My friend and I had fab lamb madras and South Indian lamb with spicy rice and garlic nan. Plenty of meat, plenty of flavour and just the right amount of heat. Service was top notch and prices super reasonable. This was my friend's first visit but my second (under new owners as of February 2024). Previously I had a spicy pizza which was delicious. Good balance of fresh toppings.
