Conveniently situated near the old town, with spacious, well-decorated rooms and views of the cloister. However, guests were disappointed with the breakfast service, including long wait times and limited variety.

The building, of course is exceptional. However, there is definitely a common thread, with their unfriendly staff. At checkin, after walking the Camino, he doesn’t even say hi, throws us the stamp, and does not tell us any info about breakfast, our bags, dinner etc. There is no food there until 8 pm. The cafe is frozen pizza and old sandwiches. The room was lovely, but the shower was moldy, which I always find disgusting. The breakfast was good, but served very late, 8am, as pilgrims like an earlier breakfast for an early start. It could be so much better, if their manager would read these reviews. How hard is it to have friendly staff, and staff that speak a little English?

After days walking the Camino, i was delighted to find this historic and beautiful setting, unfortunately what I will remember most is the rude and poorly trained staff. The surly barman who clearly doesn't like his job. The breakfast ladies, who in addition to being inattentive and abrupt, took the opportunity to be rude and disrespectful because I misunderstood their direction. When I returned to explain the misunderstanding they doubled down, refusing to budge. Unnecessarily rude. Reception apologized for their behavior but could not produce a manager because he said that "no one answered the phone" because "in Spain managers don't work on Sundays". Exception: dinner was exceptional and wait staff very nice.

Room was very nice. Bath was very much appreciated after a couple weeks on the Camino. Building and architecture is amazing. Nice little bar. But it lacked atmosphere. Staff need more training. Location is on the Camino but a little out of town

Very impressive place with big historical background. It was built on the way of peregrine’s route from France to Santiago, and was important for religious and social communication “lines” for many centuries. Maybe it is decorated in a modest way (as it was a monastery), but you feel historical touch in each wall, corridors or space.

Would of been MINUS if at all possible. The staff were extremely rude, especially the Guy, very unhelpful and were made to feel most unwelcome. (look at previous reviews mentioning very rude and unhelpful staff on reception) We were touring Spain on 2 motorcycles and from the outset they didn't want us staying there (when booking in i actually over heard the 2 hotel receptionists saying in Spanish "oh no what are these #### bikers doing here" I've hashed out the swearing as not to offend, unfortunately for them I'm a Spanish teacher back in the UK . The staff would not give me their names for my complaint, but i did take a photograph of the (i was going to stay gentleman but due to his swearing that is inappropriate from him) photo can be supplied as required The motorcycle parking was totally unacceptable, there was a secure alternative parking for cycles behind a locked gate, which would have been great for our motorbikes, but they said sternly not for motorbikes. Our motorcycles are worth £17k & £12k respectively, so therefore secure parking is essential, especially as i have had a bike stolen abroad before. I asked for a refund & they refused, saying to take it up with '***********' WARNING i complained via the dispute area on *********** website, which is useless and asked *********** to call me to discuss my complaint which they HAVE NOT DONE. Very POOR service from ***********, i would have expected better, they are NOT interested at all in my point of view on the matter. I have been using *********** for probably over 10 years now and my have to consider alternative accommodation sites. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Everywhere else on our Spanish Motorcycle tour we have been made to feel very welcome

I want to thank the night receptionist who was on duty the evening of May 30, 2023. I was struggling to change the destination of a parcel being delivered by courier. As I was walking the Camino I was changing my hotel every day. The receptionist spent considerable time with me to understand my problem and made several phone calls to assist me. She was successful I. Her efforts and I received my parcel today. A big thank you for all the help!!! I am very grateful

While this is a beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and great character our visit was terribly disappointing. We were on the Camino cycling, arrived hot and tired, decided to have a beer /water as there was a queue at reception. We got a surly barman who plonked the drinks on the bar. There was no table service (in a 4 star hotel)! So I had to make 3 trips to the terrace table with bottles and glasses. Later we had ordered dinner in the restaurant for 8.30. Got there on time but waited 20!minutes without service. Two waitresses didn’t even look at us after bringing menus. We left, got a cab into town and had a fab meal in a restaurant with fast and courteous service at a third of the price. Finally a word of warning . We were in electric bikes and at reception checking in, I said we wanted to charge them overnight in the bike shed (I couldn’t get my battery off to charge in my room). Next morning when we checked the bikes they were not charged! A disaster on the Camino for a 70 year old . Apparently you have to confirm with them by 10pm or they don’t turn the electricity to the bike shed on. Hotel policy we were told. There is a key to the bike shed but it was open at 7am next morning when I went down. There is a €5 charge for charging in the shed which we were happy to pay. Anyway it meant we had to cycle to the next village and spend hours there sitting waiting while a kind barman let us charge our bikes for free. But we wasted hours and then had to cycle in the heat of the sun instead of the cooler mornings. Everywhere else on this trip on the Camino we charged our bikes for free and with courtesy from hostals to refugios. Our one stay in a 4 star hotel was a disaster.

A beautiful hotel which has plenty of old world charm which is evident by all of the photos of the hotel. A lovely room gave us a nice sleep for the next stage of the Camino. I thought that the food and the service was very good and this is a place that I would stay in again if we were in this region again.
