Cozy, rustic cabin in the heart of the White Mountains
We've been coming to the cabin for a few years and enjoy our stays immensely. The kids can ride bikes, roam and wade on the campground roads and river. Location is fantastic - convenient to Littleton (great restaurants and shops), Bethlehem (Rek Lis Brewery) and some of the best hiking in NH. Minutes from Mt Washington, Santa's village, Appalachia trail head and Zealand/Crawford notch. Far from the crowds in Conway and Lincoln but close enough to visit.

Cozy retreat
My husband and I stayed at the Bear Lodge Cabin which was warm and cozy. It could have accommodated our whole family in the many loft area beds and pull out couch in spare room. We enjoyed exploring around the river and hiking in nearby mountains. Very beautiful area.

Cute cabin!
This was a surprise location. I do love that it was located on the river but I'm not sure I was aware it was in a campground prior to booking. All in all, it was a really cute place. I do wish it had air conditioning or a dehumidifier as it was very muggy and humid. It made for tough sleeping the 1st night. But I guess it was camping! I love that we could bring our pup! He really enjoyed swimming in the river and walking the campground. It was a nice last minute get away with my guys!

Weekend Away
The Bear Lodge Cabin was fantastic. Great location for day hikes and a wonderful place to relax at the end of a long day out on the mountains.

Good base in White Mountains
This is a good base especially for Franconia Notch. There’s not much around locally so I would come with groceries
The cabin has good space and is comfortable. There are no be private sleeping areas though

Cozy cabin and great location
The cabin was exactly what I expected... which is a good thing! Very comfortable and all of the basics we needed for our stay. Sheena was very nice to work with.

Short version:
Terrible owner and bad experience with ******* after being told I paid for everything and all was settled only to have the property owner cancel the day of with no contact until the day we arrive telling us we need to make another payment. Owner called us suspicious and threatened to call police. ******* first said the whole sum of the trip was charged to my card then I asked where my missing money went and they say the whole sum was not charged to my card. Be careful dealing with properties who are listed here and go through VRBO. Property owner also told me I didn’t need to worry about anything else after asking if I owed anymore money before showing up to the property. Couldn’t get a straight answer from anyone.
