Absolutely fantastic. This is a quiet small resort with maybe 14 rooms. 1.5 hours from Cartagena City. A bit of a harrowing drive, but definitely worth the trip. Once you get in through the doors, it’s beautiful & peaceful. Balinese type style. Not a five-star resort but they do a really nice job. Very well staffed so you have somebody to help you if you need anything. Very quiet. No telephones, no tv’s in room. Rooms are spacious, private, very comfortable. Two small beaches on either side of the main area. All open-air reception, Restaurant. One restaurant iwth 2 levels. Food was actually terrific. Best food we had in Colombia. We were there for three nights and absolutely loved it. lots of daytrippers, people coming in from Cartagena on boat to spend the day at the resort. Was nice. Will definitely come back. Thank you to Lordy who took such nice care of our family. Special place.

We had incredible food and amazing service- we felt very welcomed. We both would absolutely come back again! I had ceviche mixto, and my husband had arroz con pork y chicken. (He doesn’t eat seafood) We both LOVED the food and the vibe. Def worth the trip to Baru!

This place is beautiful, clean and very well cared for. Great beach, water and pool. The restaurant serves very good food. You can paddle board and kayak. The staff are attentive, kind and personable. It is clear that they work w/ great pride

The hotel is very chill with not alot of guests which we prefer. Many activities to do like kayaking, SUP, ping pong and swimming. We were even able to see some cool fish right off both of their beaches. Richard at the restaurant is the best. Plenty of seating by the beach and the pool area. It is a bit out of the way, so prepare accordingly. As a result, it's a nice peaceful place to relax.

Richard was great! The food was very good as well. The avocado ceviche was delicious and we will definitely be back! Aura is decorated very nicely and they have fans too for the heat. They have a full bar with plenty of wine as well. This place is underrated

Location was great if you are looking for somewhere peaceful. Loved the water, the availability of kayaks and paddle boards, ping pong table and volleyball. There's a swimming pool and spa area being built and it looks great already! The food and drinks were delicious. But most of all, the staff was the best! The taxi service was great and on time.

An unforgettable experience. I'll keep coming back whenever I can, and God willing. I salute the entire staff, especially the waiters and cooks. And especially David at the pool. Aura Hotel is on a small private beach with a beautifully designed outdoor pool. There are comfortable lounges with some shade. Breakfast is served overlooking the sea and was plentiful. Our great room with a full walk in storage closet made unpacking easy. Our room and balcony overlooked a peaceful sea & pool view. The only recommendation I would make that would help create a more peaceful and relaxing experience is to significantly lower the music volume and turn it off during the morning until noon. Also please play local Caribbean calming music! The staff was awesome!
