"Beautiful newly opened hotel with very nice staff providing excellent service!
We stayed at the Moon Boutique Hotel for one night while visiting Cat Ba island. The hotel is very well located on the town's main street and all sights on the island are easily accessible from this point.
The room was large, stylishly decorated and had a very comfortable bed.
Our favorite part of the hotel however was the staff! They went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and have a nice time on the island! They provided us great information about activities, prepared excellent welcome drinks and breakfast and always had a smile on their face. It was also very nice to see how well they worked as a team! Definitely the best hotel on Cat Ba!"

"Amazingly friendly staff. Extremely helpful without being pushy. We were on a budget, not group-tours, trip and they offered us great option to go on a small boat to visit the wonderful coast. Sweet, respectful and flexible. And location is just perfect if looking to be downtown."

"Conveniently located, we picked this hotel to do a one day boat trip to Alan Ha bay and a day in the National parc. Mattress was comfortable, room was clean and breakfast was good. The whole street was under big construction so it was noisy and dusty. Better to double check with the hotel to make sure roadwork is complete. Suggestion : 1. change body wash and shampoo as the one provided in our room smell bad, 2. Partner with a better motorbike rental company : we rent 2 different scooters through the hotel, both were in poor condition (damaged tyres, poor brake, empty tank, engine failure, smelly helmet)"

JJackie GerbeI had a lovely stay in this hotel. Upon arrival, the manager upgraded my room to give me a Mountain View with balcony, which was appreciated! He offered to set up tours and a motorbike for me. He also set up my transfer to Ninh Binh. The breakfast was small, but very good! The location is in the main part of town, but you have to walk through a small alleyway to get to this street. I felt safe as a solo female traveler, although it was quite dark. The location was nice and quiet for sleeping and the air con worked phenomenally.

GGangnamThere are only basic facilities and you may be disappointed with the toilet and shower facilities that look a little outdated, but you can choose it thinking it's a one-night stay at an affordable price. A simple breakfast is provided and it is located close to Yummy1 and Yummy2, which have good reviews from travelers. I haven't used it myself because it's raining, but I've heard that scooters are available for rent, and tours and long-distance buses can be booked as in other hotels. The female front desk staff is fluent in English to some extent, but it's nice to see her working hard at customer service, so I'm willing to stay another night if I go to Cat Ba Island again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the View Point Anh Quan Hotel in Cat Ba, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, which provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the pier and close to Cat Co beach, making it convenient for sightseeing and enjoying the local attractions.
The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with stunning views from both my balcony and the rooftop cafe. Waking up to such breathtaking scenery was truly a highlight of my trip. The staff at the hotel were exceptional; they were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable. They helped arrange transportation from Hanoi to Cat Ba and even organized a fantastic day trip to Ha Long Bay for me.
Breakfast at the hotel was enjoyable with a variety of options available, including made-to-order eggs that were delicious. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt welcoming and homely, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend View Point Anh Quan Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Cat Ba!

GGuest UserThe hotel was very clean and the reception was very friendly and kind. They are able to book excursions and such for you. Unfortunately we did not do any excursions as we were there for a short time and most of them were a full day tour. Also keep in mind that the small town is under construction along the water so unfortunately you have to walk a decent amount away or rent a motorcycle to see any views.

DDaniela888Nicely decorated room and very comfortable and funcional. The location is not great, it is bit far from the center and even more from the beaches.
Staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast has some options but the quality is not the best. There is a rooftop bar and restaurant but it is not clear what are the open hours. We tried to get there in the afternoon and nobody was there.

SShardaleI needed a place to stay when the ferries closed due to a typhoon and this was a neat spot to find on short notice. The comment I am making is based on the amount of money being paid for Vietnamese standards so the room has everything you need and the bed is comfortable, however I felt the blanket was quite thin. The menu for food was only in Vietnamese. There are snacks and drinks in the room that are cheap, but I was hesitant on the bottled water when I had seen it was opened already and I wondered if it was just refilled instead of being a new bottle? The reception staff were very kind, helpful and lovely to speak with. The breakfast was small in variety and the English Breakfast I got was what I feel a way to save costs by giving ham instead of bacon? Again only due to the price being paid did I expect something of better quality in some regards. However I am grateful for a place to stay when I was stuck. There are restaurants nearby, a very good western bar with good food and lovely local vietnamese seafood spots. It is in walking distance to the beach.

BBec TryonThe hotel was very nice. Great location and view (sunset from the rooftop bar is fantastic). If it wasn't for the construction in front of the hotel, this hotel would be the bees knees. It is close to our tour operator and mini markets. The staff so helpful and informative. Jong, one of the managers, organised a taxi for us to take us from our tour in the harbour to our speedboat to take us to Ha Long City. The speedboat driver organised the taxi driver to take us to our hotel in Ha Long City. It was well organised for us at half the price that we paid to get to Cat Ba Island. We were taken advantage of in the beginning of the Cat Ba Island adventure as unknowledgeable tourists, but we were treated so well on our departure trip from Cat Ba Island thanks to Jong.
