Far away from the airport (which had broken wifi). Had to take a taxi that costs 50euros. Male staff was pretty attentive, Mina at front desk who also drives guests to beach/city is great but female staff is unprofessional. One female staff at breakfast yelled at me for spilling water on the tablecloth. Another female staff at reception forgot to give me a voucher to access the beach with an umbrella (went associated with contiki - a group travel agency), I gave her my receipt for reimbursement, which she did reimburse me, but being stranded at the beach for 5 hrs without shade was not a fun introduction to Sicily. The blow dryers in the rooms kept blowing out. Breakfast was subpar with little choices.

Hotel One Catania / Villa Del Bosco, Catania Very bad experience. I paid €770 in advance for 7 nights for an internal room. When we arrived, they tried to charge 27% more for the room and put us in an outside annex next to the noisy street. We cancelled and went elsewhere. But they REFUSED TO REIMBURSE, and this is illegal because (1) they did not respect contractual obligations for what we had purchased, and (2) they never sent cancellation conditions to us. We are currently going through legal proceedings in court, using my credit card insurance, to recover costs + damages.

Faded glory- not 4* A rather tired old world villa upgraded but not to current 4* standard Rooms basic. No extras- water, tissues, warm cooler Pathetic tiny shower with broken sliding door that only a skinny adult could get into Bar seldom staffed and often had to wait for someone to serve Interesting restaurant with extensive menu but most choices unavailable

Some what clean but AC is not working and service was not good at all. I called more than ones and asked for the room to be changed but no response. Would not recommend it. Specially, in the summer. Pool is open but not clean, so didn’t use it. I’m sure there is a better places in catania

rooms at rear cramped and near lifts so very loud at night from other guests.The front of the hotel is lovely and rooms on website are nothing like the ones at the rear.Hotel a bit off beaten track and a bus ride to the centre and back

Greeted warmly by a nice member of reception, who checked us in and informed us of the city tax that would be payable upon leaving. She answered all our questions regarding tourist relating things. The hotel is generally nice, but could do with some maintenance work. Our room was okay, but a few broken things in the bathroom (toilet not fixed to the ground, missing towel peg and some of the other bits were hanging off / not secured properly. Location wise, it’s about an hour walk into the city centre (which we didn’t mind) or 20 minute walk to the closest metro station (Borgo). There’s also a bus stop outside the hotel but we didn’t use this. Reception can also book taxis upon request. The best thing about this hotel was Isabella, a very friendly member of the team who welcomed us every morning for breakfast, and after the first morning, she remembered our coffee order every day. She always checked that we were okay and just felt overall she was a great representative for the hotel. Grazie Mille!

The place is run down, tired, and, "stinks like sewer". No hot water for shower. The hotel owner is also manager, refuse to resolve issues. STAY AWAY!!!! The "lonely" positive is the staff works there, busy to "defend" the incompetence of owner, The prized presidential suite, looks like scene right our of move Scarface.

a good hotel I would give 3 stars not 4.the reason?the facade outside - very rundown..urgent need for proper maintanance at least refurbish...paint..not a wellcoming appearance from the street.the staff generally excellent.I must list the receptionist Alexsia-excellent!.wait-staff very good.rooms have been refurbished yet still need more work.the bath-has jets like hottub..jets filthy..bathplug broken.(my room)other rooms not known.in room safe wasn't usable.ok,I checked in on a Saturday..no maintanance staff?Sunday I again reported it..someone came about 4 hours later-replaced the batteries..yet still unusable.each evening a function..so my impressions are that functions are the "earners".rooms a "by product".meals in the restaurant are good.good service too.A 4 star hotel..no coffee maker in the room? Covid caused worldwide havoc..unemployed staff due to it left for employment elsewhere and not replaced..yet guests pay and so it goes.Breakfast is ok..basics as in most hotels worldwide..no complaints from me regarding this.
