"Please, please let us know your check-in time in advance to ensure a smooth check-in. You will receive an email, so please make sure to check it before you go.
If you look closely next to the entrance, you will see DOME written on it. There is no large sign, so please look carefully at the wall when looking for the accommodation.
The host was very kind, and the room was pretty and well-equipped. It was a very satisfactory room.
This is a very memorable hotel in Catania."

"Gave me a large triple room. The wireless network is unstable. The traffic is very convenient. The airport alibus is directly to the door. 4 Euros. Downstairs is the market. The bars and restaurants are very good."

The accommodation is very central – what is curse and blessing at the same time. Although you are in the middle of the event, but unfortunately it is so noisy until late to the night that it was hard to think of relaxing sleep.
The single room was very simplely furnished. The closet was defect, the bed was wacky, and in the bathroom it smells permanently unpleasant to waste water – even if it was in principle clean.
The operator was friendly, but seemed rather restraint and not very engaged. Overall my stay was okay for one night, but for a longer stay I would not recommend the accommodation."

"Awesome experience, 5 of the 14 rooms have kitchen facilities and beautiful European-style ancient buildings. The service staff is warm and friendly and helpful, the hotel has its own car, and we have three pieces of luggage for four people to Catania Airport for 35 euros. The most cost-effective hotel on a 19-day trip to Italy."

"Love the very convenient location right in the middle of Via Etnea, walking distances to most of the major attractions. Front Office is warm and very helpful in providing us with information and map upon checking in. Room was great and very comfortable. We were an hour early for check-in, and the room we booked wasn't available then. Instead, we got a surprise to be able to check-in into a bigger room. Breakfast is fabulous with lots of choices. Highly recommended.
The property is right opposite the Rinascente departmental store. Before careful if you are claiming VAT refund. My tax refund of over 200 euros was disallowed as the tax refund form prepared by them deliberately omitted the last digit of my passport number."

CClaire MPapali was on the first floor of a very old building, so expect to walk up a few steps with your luggage, because there's no elevator ... But, the Signore who welcomed us was very friendly and even went downstairs - while I already could go into our room - to help my husband find a parking spot on the street nearby.
We had a very good night in a simple, but super clean and quite big room, comfy bed as well ... Bathroom was nice and clean with plenty of towels ...
The first picture I took in the morning after our night at Papali out from the balcony, the second was taken in the morning when we had our breakfast served kindly in the little dining area ...
Btw, Papali is located wonderfully - it's an easy walk to all the main sightseeing spots of Catania! I added some pictures of our evening walk ...
Summary: Papali is a great choice locationwise and if you do not want to spend too much, but still want to have a cozy night at a simple but friendly and nice place.

GGuest UserThe hotel is neat, the breakfast is really very extensive and has everything. What is strange is that you have to pay for the bottle of water from the fridge. This is poorly indicated in the hotel only at the reception. Furthermore, fine beds and friendly people.

AAlainThe hotel is well located 20 mins walk from the old town square but next to everything.
It is in renovation partially so the gym wasn't open and the lobby is diminished.
The breakfast although rich and tasty was not replenished and advertised until 12h on sundays but half empty by 10h so it was such a bummer knowing that we paid extra for that.
So all in all feels like a 4 stars but still in progress and for the high price we paid we would have expected more.

But I cannot understand why there’s never a plug beside the bed. People need to charge their phones.
The bathroom is ok but there is nothing to place the toiletries in the shower, so you’re forced to either bend over in a very small space either open the shower multiple times and make a mess.
The main issue is the breakfast. It’s the land of desolation and it’s really a pity.
The croissants and the brioches are good, but regardless of the time of your arrival it’s never refurnished.
No marmalades, 3 butters, 2 Nutellas, only one typeof cereal, no milk.
Everything is missing, it seems raided.
Why pay for an hotel breakfast if there’s less food that at home or any café?
It could happen once, not constantly.

GGuest User5 minutes walk from Catania station and bus terminal. I arrived without hesitation because there was a hotel sign at the corner.
The room was a certain size, and the bathroom was large and clean. The shower room was large and easy to use, and there were many hot water and it was pleasant.
I will use it again if I have the opportunity to visit Catania again.

DDarcy. WThe hotel is near the bus station and train station and walkable to the main areas in the city. Maybe because of its proximity to the train station, the area between the train station and the hotel feels a tad bit dodgy especially at night.
There happen to be a large market a block away from the hotel on a Thursday we were there. Had quite a nice morning walk there.
The hotel itself is new and very clean. It has a sleek elegant design yet still maintain some parts of the original design. We had a very pleasant stay there.
Many parking lots available right in front of the hotel.
We enjoyed the breakfast, the spread is limited but the variety is sufficient for us.

GGuest UserI arrived long before the scheduled check-in time but I hadn't had the foresight to notify her in advance. I still tried to contact Mrs. Anna and she came to the property to make me comfortable, she prepared the room for me and immediately gave me the keys.
A courtesy that wasn't necessarily due, not taken for granted, not expected but received with priceless courtesy.
Same thing during checkout, Mrs. Anna left the house available to me until I had to leave, which was in the late afternoon.
In reference to the property, the house is in a fairly convenient location with respect to bus stops and not far from various areas of interest that can also be reached on foot. Full bathroom, hot water always available, fully equipped kitchen, perfect bedroom temperature.
Excellent quality/price ratio.
