Stayed at the Lakeside Manor on a business trip. Have to say from the moment I checked in I was given the most authentic and genuinely friendly and caring service I have experienced in a long time. Hotel is cosy, welcoming and a home from home. I had a refurbished room, with amazing views over the lake. Food at Breakfast and Dinner was top notch...couldn't fault my stay. Staff go above and beyond and work so hard to ensure a great experience.

Very comfortable homely feeling in the hotel . Booked as an over night stop over We honestly were delighted when we arrived . Beautiful location , friendly welcome, spotless clean room, I would recommend you request a room with lake view , we will do this next time . We had dinner on the very comfortable area . It was top class… I knew it would be when I saw that many local people were dining there , that’s always a good sign . I don’t normally have dessert but was tempted by a baked Alaska and strawberry cheesecake, both made at the hotel . They were divine honestly . Husband is big tea man , known To bring his own tea bag’s with him!! But not on this occasion and he said the pot of tea was neat he’s ever had away from home . We would highly recommend the hotel If your just passing by pop in for dinner .

Staying in a twin room with my mother for two nights. The location was excellent right outside Virginia on the lake. The room was spacious and clean and the bed were comfortable. The first night we ate in the hotel and the food was lovely, as was the breakfasts served in the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Stayed here the night before a wedding and I was incredibly impressed. The highlights were the staff and the food which were both incredible. The room was lovely and spacious with a stunning view of the lake. I would highly recommend a stay here. Nicer than a lot of 4 star hotels I’ve stayed in before

Stopped off for afternoon tea on route. Lovely hotel, warm friendly staff and atmosphere and good food. Beautiful location with the lake marina just to the front of the hotel. Just added to my list of places to come back and stay. One of Cavan’s gems.

Met up with my sister for a meal and a chat in December. We hadn't booked but decided to wait at the bar until a table became available. We declined the outside section as it looked cold and empty (didn't check). Pint of Guinness (good one) and a merlot were not completed before we got shown to our table near the door (#43). My sister had soup and chips while I had the sirloin steak. Our meal was excellent and we were pleased with our choices. Clean toilets, excellent friendly and efficient staff. My only gripe was the table was a bit small and I was sitting in a draft (probably the door to the outside section?). Would I return? Absolutely yes only this time I will look for an alternative and bigger table.
