Cozy Cedar Island Cottage! Cottage sleeps 4 and is furnished with a queen mattress in loft and bunk beds downstairs (both new). Fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker. The cottage has a 200 square foot finished porch with a swinging daybed and views of the Pamlico sound. There is a charcoal grill available at the cottage. The beach is about a 5 minute walk from the cottage. There is also a public boat ramp and kayak launch within a 5 minute walk. The cottage is located next to Cedar Island National Wildlife Refuge. This is a remote location, which makes it an outdoor-lovers paradise. Favorite Activities on the island: • Kayaking/Canoeing – this location is a haven for kayakers who want to experience the natural beauty and abundant wildlife. Incredible bird watching location and you may also encounter the wild cattle and horses that roam freely. • Horse back Riding on the beach guided tours available • Beach relaxing • Hunting/Fishing – incredible red drum, speckled trout and flounder fishing in creeks and on Pamlico Sound. • Take the ferry to Ocracoke Island to explore the undeveloped beaches Bring beach chairs, beach towels, sunscreen, and insect spray.
