We spent three days in this lovely place and will go back again, hopefully soon. Full disclosure - we had the fourth floor apartment with the large balcony/deck that the other apartments don't have. The apartment was quite small, freshly renovated with a light, airy feel. All the furnishings were either new or near new, giving the whole place an inviting feel. The location was three blocks from the Crystal Palace and three blocks from the town centre. We walked easily to the other side of the Douro River and back. There are a few good restaurants and a traditional Portuguese pub within 2 blocks and a supermarket 60m away. There is also a cafe right across the street, with good coffee and lovely pastries. There is also a lift, so you don't have to climb the stairs.
