What a complete dump. Generally ran down hotel and with tired old noisy rooms rooms. Lots of rubbish and junk being stored in places like the stairs and landings. Loose cables and rubbish just lay around. Lots of cigarette ends outside. Not sure if the hotel is going through some kind of refurb, but if it isn’t it desperately needs some money spent on it. Not best welcome. Quite cold. Just a sheet of paper with information from a staff member with no real welcome. Particular female staff member remained miserable all evening. Some customer service training should be provided to all staff. No hooks to hang anything up in bathroom and the smallest cupboard bathroom you’ve ever come across. Rusty shower curtain rail and mouldy shower curtain at the bottom. No extractor fan in bathroom, well there was but of course it didn’t work Towels provided are of the cheapest quality. Zero sound proofing between rooms and floors, could hear noise well into evening from rooms below and to the side, and from the bar underneath Room 14 was a bit of a mish mash set up, Sink in the room for some reason and not the bathroom and the sink was filthy, needs a deep clean down the back of it. Main light fitting in the bedroom was filthy and hanging from ceiling. No plugs by beds to charge anything and one of the side lamps had a broken cord and again was broken and dirty. Room 14 Door didn’t close properly and didn’t feel very safe. Wouldn’t want to stay here with a child. Not sure if door had been kicked in with someone trying to leave the room or someone trying to enter. Ok selection of beers in the bar but absolutely nothing local and Welsh, which was a shame. Same for the other village pub the ship inn. Rooms at rear of the hotel seem to be the oldest and worst condition. Rooms at front of hotel seem to be the nicest and may have undergone a makeover, some rooms have a nice balcony at the front of the hotel. Main bar restaurant and bar has doors hanging off hinges and holes in the ceilings, fridges all over the place that don’t seem to be working, again more junk storage which doesn’t make for a great environment. Wi-Fi didn’t work. Password provided didn’t work. Useless In room 14 one of the beds was dirty with hair and stains all over the sheets and quilts. Had to sleep on top of the bed and just felt very dirty. Walls in bedroom stained. Bed mattresses ridiculously soft. Very uncomfortable and I suspect of the lowest quality and cost possible. Water Tank kept filling in our room every half hour or so, assume it was from the toilets in the bar below. Made it very difficult to sleep with the noise. Terrible service continued at breakfast hadn’t really got set up properly by 8.30 even though breakfast starts at 8. Very very slow service. Glasses missing for juice, no sugar, very slow service despite several staff wandering around and chatting to each other. Staff sweeping up from the night before with chips/fries all over the floor from the ni

Positives: Very clean room with plenty of space, a lovely balcony, and beachy decor. Good breakfast with large portions and friendly service. Plenty of street parking and a short walk down the street to several restaurants and pubs. Negatives: Hallway in disrepair with shoddily patched walls, bathroom shower completely unusable due to two polar heat settings of frigid and scalding, on-request iron came paired with the filthiest ironing board I have ever encountered. The hotel should have been ashamed to present this to guests, but the employee delivered it to my room as if it was no big deal at all. With a little more TLC and updating this could easily be a 4/5.

*** Wonderful Wedding Day *** We cannot thank Leah and Ben enough for making our wedding day so brilliant 🤩. Considering the short notice request we gave Leah for our wedding, nothing was out of place and they were so accomodating. We were given all the time we needed the evening before to decorate and, Kyle and Ben helped where we needed it too 🤗. On the day the food was blummin lovely, everyone commented on Leah's homemade sausage rolls and scotch eggs in the day reception buffet where there was plenty of choice and plenty of food. Then, the chilli and all the trimmings for the evening party was an absolute hit 😍. Josh Weaver singing at night was fantastic and the whole day just came to a wonderful end with everyone happy having had a fantastic day. Thank you to Hayley who was clearing up when I arrived this morning and had kindly put all our items to one side for me to pick up too 🤗 I really appreciated that. Huge Thank You to Leah and Ben and all their amazing staff for all the hard work they put in to our day. So so glad you could fit us in, we couldn't have asked for it to be any better ❤️ x x x

Leah, Kyle, and the team organised an excellent buffet for my mums birthday. There was an heaps of delicious food, and we were given a private room with our own bar. The team at the Harbour exceeded my expectations and truly went above and beyond.

This is the second time we've stayed at the Harbour. The improvements are amazing. The room with balcony is very small but we'll appointed and decorated. The food was excellent, especially the garlic and chilli prawns! Very pleasant staff made the stay enjoyable

This was the only place we could find serving lunch in Cemaes when we went for the day while staying in Anglesey. The staff were helpful but the food was fairly average, it appeared pre-prepared and the chips were soggy, that said we were grateful just to find somewhere to eat. It was obviously popular with locals but this may be because there is limited choice in the town. Inside there is a big open space which is sparsely furnished but it was comfortable enough. The only choice of beer was John Smith's keg or Guinness so not somewhere for beer drinkers. I'd probably look elsewhere if there was more choice.

The food here is AMAZING! Had THE BEST fish pie I've ever eaten and please, never, lose the garlic chilli prawns. Husband had loaded fries which were delicious. Staff are down to earth and friendly and lots of GF alternatives which is really refreshing for us. Thank you all. See you next time. :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay, the staff we very helpful, the food was very good what a shame the rooms didn't.meet the same standard. My room.had I double socket which was hanging below the dressing table from a live wire. Health and safety? The TV control was missing , I requested one which arrived after a second request.next morning. I.asked for a hairdryer which was delivered with the remote but alas it didn't work. Such.small.matters take some of the pleasure away.from.our mini break. A little more attention.to detail would turn.this in to.a very good hotel

I've just recently stopped at this hotel whilst I was walking the beautiful Anglesey coastal path. I really enjoyed staying here and my Dad did too. Nice clean ,spacious bar and eating areas. The rooms are very nice and I loved my view overlooking the harbour. Great food , friendly staff and locals. If I come back to Cemaes again, and I hope I do I will definitely stop at the Harbour hotel.
