Hotel Villa San Fedele

We were sat in the dark from 4pm until 7:30pm as well as no heating. We were not told this would be happening until we got to the room and had to go back to reception to find out. The receptionist was rude to my boyfriend. Family members had to ring the hotel to fix the problem as they would not listen to us. We left the next morning and were not able to receive any sort of refund. 0/10 we would absolutely NOT recommend

Super clean and beautiful spot of hotel on the mountain with a beautiful view

I stayed here for 5 days and was very comfortable. I had a solo room with a great mountain view, it was an absolute joy to wake up to. Breakfast is included and they serve the creamiest cappucino I have ever tasted, seriously, its insanely good. They also serve a delicious, rich and moist slice of cake, boiled eggs, fresh fruit and some more of the basics for breakfast. There's a fee if you want to have your eggs fried or scrambled. The mattress was of a great firmness and I got an extra pillow on request. If you need an adapter for your laptop, they have this for you as well. If you want to bring some groceries in there's a fridge you can use downstairs. I'd say the only thing that really bothered me was not being able to make tea in my room. I missed having a kettle, instead I'd have to go downstairs to ask for a cup of tea, that got charged to my total bill at the end of my stay. Besides that, all the staff was incredibly friendly, especially the breakfast staff. The village this villa is located in is also very friendly and quite pretty. There's enough places to walk or hike to for some stunning views, nature and rock collecting. I got a very warm welcome in San Fedele and definitely would recommend anyone to visit. The locals are kind and fun-loving. For solo travelers who don't speak Italian very well it can be a bit intimidating to go out since all nightlife is accumulated in one street and they don't speak a lot of English, but seriously, just go and try your best. Wish people a nice day or evening in Italian, and Google Translate your way through it. There's some people who speak English but generally, just try so you're not being rude. On the day of my birthday, the local flower shop owner came by in the morning and picked and handed me a bunch of beautiful flowers (without knowing it's my birthday). It was a great moment, really made me happy. She was incredibly nice. Her truffle dog is pictured, don't try to pet him lol. On the last day I happened to see her again and got handed some amazingly fragrant flowers, again 🥰

This hotel is as minimalistic as they come. The are no window shades, which means you get a good night's sleep ... you're up when the sun comes up at 4:00am. There are no coffee-making facilities in the room or on the premises ... If you want a coffee, you have to take walk to the village down the road and test your luck. Car parking is a joke. In stead of marking out realistic parking bays, cars just Park anywhere and anyway they like. The check-in staff are reasonably friendly, but the breakfast staff are as bitchy as can be. Speaking of breakfast, it too is minimalistic, so don't expect to fill up. And finally, the noise. All day, until late at night, you have bozos racing around the village on trail bikes and creating a nuisance. A quote spot? Not in the least.
