I cannot recommend this magical place enough. The retreat met—and truly went beyond—all of my expectations. It was an authentic and heartfelt experience, where everything was offered with generosity and intention, and always with the freedom to engage as much or as little as I liked. Waking up to morning yoga in the gentle spring light of this beautiful corner of Alentejo, walking through dappled forest paths to a serene practice space surrounded by trees and birdsong... it felt like a dream. The yoga was led by teachers deeply connected to their practice, offering it in such a kind, gentle, and inclusive way that I always felt supported to meet the class at my own pace. Breakfasts were a daily highlight—healthy, delicious, abundant meals full of love. Fresh juices, cakes, coffee, fruits, cereals… everything prepared and shared with so much care. And the evening meals—wow. Shared around the table, they were truly 5-star experiences, lovingly cooked by Raffel and Dona Maria. Every dish struck that perfect balance between delicious and deeply nourishing. You could taste the care in every bite, and the joy of gathering together made it even more special. The days were filled with unforgettable experiences: horseback riding through rolling hills, magical hikes along the coast with dips in the Atlantic, joyful dinners out, and so much laughter—deep, belly laughter. All of it set in the warmth and comfort of Quinta Camarena, surrounded by the infectious enthusiasm of Vera, Cam, Marco, and their wonderful team. This place is something truly special. If you're considering coming—do it. It's an experience you'll carry with you long after you leave.

Whatever reason you are considering going to Quinta Camerena for just do it. It's a magical place. You can connect with yourself, connect with nature, connect with other people or simply just chill in a beautiful setting. As a bonus all the food is absolutely fabulous and plentiful, all made using local ingredients or bought from local producers. And the owners Cam & Vera plus the GM Marco couldn't be any warmer and deliver that perfect balance of letting you be whilst knowing they are around if you need them. We definitely didn't want to leave but came home feeling relaxed, energised and very grateful for the experience.

We just finishing hosting our second art retreat at Quinta Camarena. There is so much to love about this place but it starts with Cam and Vera. Once you have taken Vera’s tour of the property and hear their story, you understand their purposeful vision for Quinta Camarena. Their commitment to sustainability and supporting the local artisans, farmers and producers is obvious everywhere you turn. The farm to table food is exceptional and nourishing – it’s made with fresh, seasonal ingredients which are all sourced locally - if not grown right on their property. The studio space is magical with floor to ceiling doors that open into a beautiful pine forest. It is the perfect spot for a retreat to relax, soak up nature and get inspired! One feels welcome from the first moment. There’s a good energy at that place, which brings you to rest and come to yourself. While you do your Yoga, there’s the nice smell of the pines around... We enjoyed the wonderful varieties of the breakfast buffet made of handmade organic foods. Nicely located out of Cercal but close enough to walk into town. Our favorite beach is Praia da Ilha do Pessegueiro, a 25 minutes drive, with a wonderful restaurant having good seafood. A great place for a romantic sundowner. Vera and Cam, hope to see you again.

What a place, I can't fault it in anyway. Cam and Vera are amazing hosts and work so hard to make you feel welcome and comfortable in their beautiful Quinta. The activities allowed you to really explore the area and get a feel for what it has to offer. The laid back vibe made everyone feel very chilled and it was easy to get on with all the other people on the yoga retreat. I'll definitely be back and already I'm spreading the word to my friends-although I don't want it to become too popular :)
