Great position for visiting on foot all the local attractions. Good sized room, clean with everything we needed. Very tasty evening buffet meal and breakfast, although dining room a bit small. Reception staff extremely friendly and helpful. I always send a postcard from the countries I visit, but the post office was closed when I went. I was leaving the country that morning. I gave my postcard with stamp money (hopefully enough!) to the lovely reception staff and they, when they were able, went to the post office, bought a stamp and posted the card. I received it within days, thank you very much!

We visited the Solun Hotel to prepare for a big event. The staff was very friendly very welcoming and prepared for every questions we had. Daniela very professional and kind to us. Very clean rooms and a modern meeting room. We love that the coffee break was in a separate room nearby, very chilly, a balcony for smokers and two bathrooms. We are looking forward to be back in September.

We spent two nights in the Solun. Our room was small but comfortable, well furnished. The staff were without exception very good, helpful, in particular Dia at the front desk (I may have spelt that wrong). The location, a 5 minute walk from Macedonia Square and Stone Bridge, local dining, is excellent. Solun's buffet breakfast was good. My wife and I strongly recommend this long-established, reasonably priced, family owned hotel.

This hotel gets so many mixed reviews - some excellent and clean, some tiny rooms and dirty. Our experience was a good located hotel in the heart of the city. Do not come here by car and expect to park. Coach arrivals are a short walk from the hotel. Our room was dark but spacious and clean. There was a safe, small stocked refrigerator and facilities to make a drink. The pillows were both rock hard, we both woke with a stiff neck, perhaps the next time the hotel order new pillows a choice of soft or concrete pillows could be offered. The wardrobe design is ridiculously dangerous, with two fixed glass panels behind which are the hangers. You access these through a gap in between the two glass panels. In our view this design is not practical. In fact in the end we managed to remove hangers and used the coat hook in the hallway - whoever designed these should be made to use them daily. The bathroom was a reasonable size but the shower difficult to get the water temperature right as it was tap controlled. We had a buffet dinner and breakfast in the hotel both were of a reasonable quality except the hot food was cold and the toaster impossible to work. Coffee was served slowly at the counter.

The hotel is in a good location, within easy walking distance to all the tourist sights and restaurants. The room was a good size, with a good choice for breakfast, would stay here again.

Really lovely hotel. The location is great, just off the main square and a short walk to the old bazaar. Our room was big, really well designed and modern and our shower had a waterfall shower head which was great. Loved it. The spa area a nice touch, I actually really liked just lying in the Himalayan salt room for a while. Would very much recommend and would stay again. On our last night, they put chocolates on our pillows which really made me smile!

Hotel facilities was good. That's all We need an iron at the afternoon. We call them and they said that we have to inform them that we need iron from the morning because we pay for it. We ask for a different pillow and they said that they only have one type. Our friends in different room have different. Last we borrow an umbrella and at the check out they send a guy to check if it was at the room even that we informthem that was there, and before they check that we were waiting to bring our car for half an hour and they are saying that was traffic. Unprofessional. They just want money and not care about you. Breakfast not for a 4star hotel.

Unfortunately our stay in hotel was very bad. The room was very tiny. It was not so clear and the bathroom in black color i think it is wrong choice. There was damage in the paint and look like dirty. The matter was very hard and the pillows were the worst pillow i have used. We have headache all day. When i asked from the receptionist to give me another pillow, more soft and not so thick he told me that they didn't have another style of pillow. Unbelievable! Then i decided to look for pillow at myself, and i found better than mine in the other room. So the receptionist was not helpful at all. I think this is not answer at the costumers. Anything i asked they wanted to charge me. There was no will to serve. The girl with short hair and with glasses was Very unacceptable. Very rude and she pretended the polite. The breakfast was good. Nothing super but good. Also the guy in the buffet was very polite and pleasant. The only good that the hotel was in the centre. Near to everything. And the least tha guy in the massage was Very good and very smile and make you to feel comfortable! I recommend you to try massage for sure. The spa was not so nice. Don't pay for that. They try to make money from everything in there. And careful with the charge!!! The are charging things that you don't use and that you don't know it!
