Chalet hôtel le Whymper

Very friendly welcome at the reception in the Hameau Faucigny hotel located opposite the chalet. The chalet hotel itself is well maintained and in the modernized Savoyard style. Price of €187.20 for 1 night, breakfast included for 2 at the end of July. Not seen any parking open to customers included in the price, knowing that parking spaces are expensive in this season in the center of Chamonix, and even near the center. Bedroom on the top floor under the roof with a large comfortable bed. Suggestion: it would be worth having a fan system to beat the heat in the last months of June-July 2022, because it is difficult to get a draft with the roof window and the small side window. Bathroom with toilet and large shower, pleasant. Downside: the crampedness of the bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast served in the living room, the decoration of which we really liked, very warm and opening onto a small terrace at the back. The buffet was decent, consisting of pots of coffee, milk, fruit juice, mini pastries, bread, baguette, natural yogurts from the U distributor brand (we would prefer Savoie yogurts), 3 jars of “homemade” jams, 3 jars of cereals, a few fruits, a few slices of raw ham and 2 volumes of cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon (V. Photo). The buffet deserves to be better stocked and with a greater choice, especially since going to Hameau Faucigny, the breakfast seemed much better.
