Camping Paris-Est

We stayed here for three nights recently at a campervan pitch. We are a Welsh family of 4. Kids ages 5&9. Well what a stay we had!! The pitch was perfect , the shower and toilet facilities were clean and kept tidy at all times. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The bar area is fantastic the food is absolutely beautiful the pizzas, fries, pasta everything was super tasty. The small supermarket shop is also helpful for your basic needs. Special shoutout to the man who works at the bar can’t remember his name but he’s super friendly, helpful, kind and works so hard morning till night!! This site is walking distance to train station and a 20 minute train to Paris central. We found it easy to walk to the train station and understand what train we needed to get on to travel to Paris with the kids to do some site seeing! It’s also the perfect site for 20 minute drive to Disney land Paris. Which we found also super easy to drive to. Highly recommend this site to anyone you won’t be disappointed! We can’t wait to return next year.

A great site for exploring Paris. We had our bikes and it was so quick to reach the park then onto the excellent cycleways of the city centre. Cycling must be the best way to see the city sights quickly and safely. The Lodge was clean and comfortable with every amenity you need. Very helpful staff too.

Fantastic place! We had a really warm welcome in reception from very helpful friendly staff who explained the answers to all our questions. We were also given 2 welcome packs, 1 with wine and other goodies and the other with essential cleaning products. Our comps at ion (1 bedroom mobile home) was immaculate with everything we needed (no oven and no kettle but as it had a microwave and a filter coffee machine neither was missed, but if you are a tea drinker you may need to bring a kettle). We only stayed 3 nights as a base for visiting Paris, leaving most days around 9am and returning about 8pm. Access to the city was very easy with the bus coming to the entrance of the campsite every 15 minutes. I can’t understand the complaint about workmen being on site - yes there are work men but very hard working guys, we never witnessed any noise or issues with them. It feels that some people just don’t like sharing a holiday space wit hardworking people. Maybe this reminds them that they are in the real world seems very stuck up attitude. We wished we were staying here longer to also get to enjoy the beautiful ambiance, the river and the table tennis and club facilities at the park.

We chose this campsite as a base for visiting Roland Garros and sightseeing in Paris. On arrival the receptionist was very helpful and polite. We were told that a bus stopped outside of the campsite and stopped several times on route to Joinville station. We purchased two tickets that allowed all day travel on all buses and trains around Paris. These were 12 euros each which is really reasonable. Taking the bus to the station was easy and the trains were always on time. The underground is always very, very busy. The campsite has a lot of reviews that comment on the amount of noise made by the contractors that use this site as their base. There are quite a few contractors on the site but there was no evidence of problems with noise. Some get up very early in the morning with van doors opening and shutting. We have experienced a lot more noise on other camps across France. The town has a great Irish bar with some entertainment. We felt very welcome by the staff there. If you are spending a few days around Paris or need a stop on your journey through France I would highly recommend this site. The accommodation was clean and excellent. We even had a TV which enabled us to watch Roland Garros. The beds were made up, the shower was good and we had no issues.

We have just returned from a week stay at Paris Est, which we booked through eurocamp. We came back early as we couldn't cope with staying there any longer, and we would have left earlier if we didn't have non refundable tickets for different attractions booked before going. Firstly - good points. It is really easy to get into paris, a 10 min bus ride to the station then a short train ride into the city. It was very easy to find our way around, you can pick up tickets and travel info from reception. Also very easy to get to disneyland. Unfortunately that is all the positives we can say. The lodges are tiny, cramped and so unloved. Our Mattresses were stained, bulbs didn't work etc. They lodges are absolutely packed in, there is barely any space between them so no privacy at all and the walls are so thin we could hear our neighbours coughing inside with the doors closed. Also most of the lodges are filled with tradespeople/workers and every night there were different groups of men smoking and drinking on the balconies making a lot of noise through the night. My son didn't want to play with his football outside because he was too intimidated. Not what we expected from a Eurocamp park, we expected basic facilities as this was meant to be a base to explore - but basic doesn't mean it has to be horrible! We would not come back even for the proximity to Paris as it was such an unpleasant experience, we thought we were just unlucky but reading some of the other reviews it seems this is not unusual. Also a heads up that they need a 150 euro deposit before they will give the key which we weren't told about before arriving - their machine didn't work to put a hold on our credit card and after a stressful half an hour calling the bank who told us the problem was with their machine, we then had to pay the 150 up front. Surprisingly our card worked fine to take the payment... and we now have to wait 15-20 days to hope we will get this money transferred back!

we had a nice stay. for us it was close enough to the centre of Paris and far away enough to be comfortable in a quiet place. We were there for just a few days, I think it would be to small for a longer stay.
