As with so many things in life, its the small thins that count. This is a hotel that lifts itself over and beyond what you expect from a small, family-run hotel. And it does so because the owners take pride in their work. Everything is clean, functioning, well thought-through. And if you ask them for advice on where to go, be it a restaurant or an excursion, they will take out time to find out who you are and what you are looking for, before nailing it with something that fits you perfectly. We'll be back!

I loved this hotel. Firstly, the manager was exceptionally helpful.. he helped us organise a hire car at a very good price, told us the best places to visit at the best times, recommended an authentic restaurant and wrote out a menu items in Greek.. All reception staff were helpful. Secondly, the hotel was very clean and our rooms were cleaned thoroughly - daily. Thirdly, it was nice to have a pool side cafe/bar with a full menu (although we normally ate out). The pool was a nice size. Fourthly, The location suited us. We walked into Chania which took 30mins (give or take). There is a coast side walk which takes longer again but it is a more pleasant walk and has many bars along the way. We ( a family with 2 children aged 9 and 12) walked the busier, roadside walk and felt safe even late at night (10.30 ish after a meal). We had a hire car for a few days so got out about that side of the island. This hotel is set slightly back from the main road so you can't see or hear the road from you room or beside the pool. We loved Crete, we only had 6 days to explore and would have liked more time.

It was quite a mediocre experience. The room was clean and comfortable but there were some inconveniences. Starting from the fact that the shower door was not closing correctly so there was water leaking and it was dangerous to slip and fall. Next downside was the noise from some kids running outside in the hallway at 23:30 - 00:00 making it so hard to sleep. The pool water was too warm and there were very few choices for breakfast. Last but not least the last night we stayed, at around 4 am the painting above our bed fell and almost hit us. It was a heavy material and we could have been hurt really bad. The worst part was that when we told the reception (it probably was the owner at that time) what happened, the first thing he said was “What did you do that made it fall”. Blaming your visitors for you accommodation’s malfunction is really not cool. I don’t know if I would recommend. I guess go if you want to test your luck

So this will be a long review. Summary is that hotel is clean, staff professional and friendly. Just book it if you can! Arrived at hotel after taxi picked us up at the airport (arranged by hotel). Great driver and we came through the city for great views. Check in was very friendly and professional. All explained by Annie and our room 306 had a lovely view and we got beautiful sunsets. The room was very clean and easily big enough for the two of us. The balcony is very large with seats, table and drying area for clothes. Bathroom is lovely and shower has very good pressure. The shower screen is excellent and no flooding the bathroom. The air-con is the best we have ever had and adjusted using a remote control. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk to the harbour but a bus is only 10-15 minutes and buy ticket at reception for 1.10 euro each. The pool area is lovely and clean and the staff are always smiling and professional. The pool is super clean, even at end of day when people have been in and out with sunscreen on. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. The food portions are very big. Toilets and other areas are spotlessly clean all the time. In the evening the bar area is a great place with Yianni our barman serving drinks with a smile and Georgos the waiter being a great young guy who is very funny but also professional. Nikos is always around to keep an eye that everyone is happy and his laugh is infectious, he is a very funny man. Andreas the owner is the best owner/manager/receptionist/pool cleaner ever. He has given us so much help to enjoy our holidays. He organised trips for us like Samaria Gorge, a boat trip and a car so we could go to Balos. All at a great price. He is always happy to help with places to eat and drink in the Chania area. Our top recommendation is to go to Throumbi restaurant in Chania. It was possibly the best restaurant we have ever visited in 15 years of travelling. Chania itself is a beautiful city with friendly people and great history. It is chilled and very cool place to visit. So finally just to thanks everyone at Kedrissos for a wonderful 2 weeks. All the staff are wonderful but special thanks to Andreas, we will never be able to repay you for how special you made our holiday. Thankyou 🙏

We were very pleased with the service that Kedrissos had to offer. On the first day, the receptionist (Andreas) had already planned what we could do all of the days. He made sure a bus came and picked us up at the hotel door and off we went all around the island. Then when it came to food, the receptionists helped us find restaurants out of what felt like hundreds of available restaurants. One of the days we went to a local place outside of the city, which you would never find on yourself. They very rarely had tourists there, but the food was amazing. Often you will need to do a lot of planning yourself when going on a trip, but this was very relaxing. All we needed to do was say yes or no to the different ideas which they had in mind. Close to the hotel was also a bus station so that you could easily get into the city. A lot of memories being created, special thanks to Andreas, Maria and Ania. Will definitely stay here again if I were to come to Chania again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Kedrissos. For us, it was perfect as a base for a few days' sightseeing in Chania, with a beautiful swimming pool to enjoy. We had a two-room apartment, which was spotlessly clean and had a great sea view. My kids loved the pool and had a lot of fun there! The food in the restaurant was excellent and we ended up eating there each evening as we enjoyed it so much! We walked to the nearby beach one day and enjoyed swimming in the sea there (we paid to rent sunbeds on the beach). The hotel is very close to the old town of Chania and it's easy to get there by taxi or bus. Andreas, the hotel owner, gave us lots of information and was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend!
