We have had a fabulous time since arriving at the hotel. We were received by very friendly and helpful receptionists. The room is very clean and is well stuffed with toiletries, the Aircon is cold to my liking but can be adjusted accordingly. The roof terrace is very scenic, however, the views of the Guangjie Bridge is only in partial view. The location is superb, walkable to all the top attractions. The hotel breakfast is at nearby with delicious local dishes. The owner is ever so helpful, her service is above and beyond to cater to my mum. Lastly but not least, we are overall very happy with the service we received from this hotel and will highly recommend anyone looking to look for a 5 star accomodation. The original owner was Lin Xichun, the Minister of the Ming Dynasty. The mansion was built by Lin Xichun during his leisurely visit to the forest and has a history of over 400 years. The inn retains the traditional architectural layout of local ancient houses, providing customers with an immersive "museum" living experience. The Minglin Mansion faces west to east and is a three entry courtyard. On both sides of the main gate, there are standing stone drums and blue brick walls, granite, depicting traces of 400 years of wind and rain, exuding a strong historical charm. This is the best B&B I have stayed in in Shantou and Chaoshan. It can be seen that the owner runs the hotel with care. Fresh chrysanthemum tea is brewed when you enter, and conditioner is delivered immediately if you ask for it. The bedding is made of cotton and the sound insulation is very good. Mainly hygienic and clean. The location is convenient. It only costs $10 to take a taxi to the main attractions. There are many restaurants and coffee shops nearby, so breakfast, lunch and dinner are no problem.
