Though the Lan'ou hotel is about 2km away to the Paifang pedestrian street, it's an enjoyable walk to the centre of attractions where one gets to see the many sights of ancient Chaozhou. It's an essential part of visiting any city on foot. There are many eateries and shops along the way and you can sample them, and that's the fun part! Our room has all the amenities except for a fridge where we can store our beer. It's even equipped with fire escape masks and bathrobes which we don't need.
