This was our first stay at this hotel. We were very impressed with the whole experience! The room was large, clean, and well appointed. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff were all friendly. Well done!!

This hotel was spacious and clean. The surrounding area leaves much to be desired but isn’t the hotels fault. We appreciated the indoor pool being open late to give our children something to do. Breakfast was not free, but was fine. We would definitely stay here again if we found ourselves in Charleston. The staff was exceptional.

From the minute we arrived, the staff was friendly, and the property was beautifully maintained. Our room was lovely and overlooked the river and waterfront park. Pros: location, condition of the property, free parking, a reasonably priced breakfast and a small bar for a nightcap. The adjacent restaurant, which is a leased space, was a bonus.

There was a sock and used razor on the ground when I just checked in. Otherwise everything was fine. Parking was $16 after tax. It’s behind the hotel. The entrance parking was full when I got there. 2 free drinks 5:30-7pm and breakfast included. Omelette bar was pretty good. Staff generally were very friendly. Pictures are the view from my room.
We were having a hard time finding hotels in Eastern Kentucky/Southern West Virginia. It seems that area is a black hole for hotels and the 2 we passed were packed on a Wednesday night at 8pm. So we had to drive to Charleston 3 hours away to find a room. The Holiday Inn Express Civic Center was still open after midnight and we were welcomed by a friendly desk person. The parking lot looked a bit sketchy, like it was last paved 10 years ago. But that was our only negative. The public spaces were spotless and up to date. Elevators were fast, quiet, and there was no waiting. Our key worked fine. The room was clean, smelled great, and the AC was quiet and worked well. The bed was very comfortable with large fluffy pillows. The TV was a 60” flat screen and cable was fine. The bathroom was large, plenty hot water. Well lit. Large mirror. Only 2 towels, but that was OK. The room was larger than usual. Refrigerator and Microwave. A large desk area where I am currently writing this review. The internet is great. Breakfast was great. We liked the coffee and they had an Equal-like sweetener. We had cheese omelettes, sausage links, bagels, and a Cinnamon Roll. All very good. They also had a pancake machine and cereal/juice/fruit. So no bad marks here. All the news is good at the Holiday Inn Express Civic Center
Very nice hotel and very convenient to do business in the area. The staff was very friendly and the check in process was quick and easy. Nice beds, clean bathrooms and nice amenities in the room. The breakfast selection was very good the next morning and the has something for everyone. I really enjoyed my stay!
This hotel was great. We stopped at 11:30’pm on our way home From Michigan State. I was so Tired I accidentally booked for the next night instead of the same night. The lady at front desk was so great. She changed it for me. The room was very clean. The bed slept well. There was a fridge in the room. The free breakfast was your normal carb loaded cereal and yogurt and waffle maker, but we had to get back in the road anyway.

Very nice hotel — clean, comfortable, decent breakfast. But what made this hotel stand out was the staff. I got myself totally turned around trying to find them and when I called to see if they could help me sort myself out, the young lady who took my call was so patient with me, was able to figure out where I was, and gave me excellent directions to find them. I really appreciated her assistance, as I had been driving for too many hours and was really tired.
GGuest User1st rate. Room and property was very clean. Staff was courteous and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Staff suggested a good restaurant for dinner and we found a great ice cream shop for dessert. Breakfast was great. Hot food (make your own waffles), fresh fruit, yogurt & cereal, coffee, juices & milk. They also provided to go breakfast bags.
GGuest UserStayed one night while driving through, so I selected this hotel for location, value and reliable brand. Parking, Check in and check out were easy. Room was incredibly spacious and clean. Even though the hotel abuts a busy train track I could not hear any train noises while in the room. Slept great. The area where the hotel is located is easy to get to from the highway, but is mixed use (housing, churches, industrial and schools). Was relieved to see security regularly patrolling the hotel area. Since I arrived around 9pm, the area restaurants were closed. Luckily there was an open Krogers within a five minute drive. Breakfast was easy and uncrowded. Would stay again.
Chose this place while traveling solo - based on my experience with Comfort Inn and the facility reviews. Room was clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast the next morning did not disappoint! You may want to request a room on the back of the hotel. My room was in the front and the parking lot lights were intrusive at night. The heavier curtains that could have shielded the light were only panels on the side - and did not extend the width of the window. (Took a pants hanger and clipped the two side panels together to get some relief. Saw it on a Facebook post, tried it, looked awkward but worked, and made me laugh!) Highly recommend due to safe, convenient, and clean surroundings. The morning coffee was awesome. Service staff were very nice as well. I would certainly choose this location again.
Very nice hotel and very convenient to do business in the area. The staff was very friendly and the check in process was quick and easy. Nice beds, clean bathrooms and nice amenities in the room. 杜杜Very good, I will stay at this hotel next time. The only downside is that there is no breakfast, but there is a coffee supply, and there are supermarkets nearby, which is convenient. Recommended to stay.
The average price for hotels in Charleston is AED 544 on weekdays, and AED 596 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
