My name is Laneda Williams I'm writing this grievance complaint . I was treated unfairly and my civil rights had been violated. I checked in on April 4 , 2023 and stayed in room 139 with bed bugs and roaches. The roach was big and had babies too. I brought a can of raid . I didn't know they had bed bugs until I finally laid up under their sheets after a week. So, I was woken up by something biting me I turned on the light and looked on the pillow and there was a bed bug. I went to the office at 2:00 am in my night clothes and told the staff that I have bed bugs, I went to room 229 and moved my belongings from 139 room to the new room . Okay, I was made whole with that situation . Now, I paid by the week the total amount is $496.74 times 4 for the month. The grand total is $1,979.04 . I just paid for the room again (weekly) on Friday 28, 2023 and early Sunday morning around 12:00 am. i was told that i had to leave the premise because i had my door open. The lady security guard did not knock on my door she was too lazy to walk up the stairs to tell me to close my door. But, instead she screamed from the top of her lungs , like a block away to tell me to close my room door. Motel 6 robbed me of my money that consisted of $494.74 . I have all of my recipients for proof . I contracted the Health department and BBB about this matter. WHERE'S MY MONEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REFUND MY MONEY !!!!!!!w

Staff at the front desk was a bit dismissive and parking costs $20/night. Breakfast not included but there’s a restaurant on site. Pros: - great location, close to attractions, restaurants, shops - Wifi works well - rooms are relatively clean however I found a few hairs here and there - rooms are spacious enough - Check-in is at 4pm officially but our room was ready at 2pm so we could check in - mini fridge in room - the hotel is nicely furnished and decorated - 24-hour fitness center - 2 complimentary bottles of water - Coffee machine in the room Cons: - staff at the front desk could’ve been friendlier - bed too soft and pillows too thick - A/C didn’t work properly—the room was either ice cold or hot

We loved our stay at the Hampton Inn! Our only comments are the breakfast was okay (COVID restrictions limited the choices) and the hotel has a slight musty smell as it’s an older building. But you cannot ask for a better location and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here!

Rarely leave reviews. This place deserves it. It was all so perfect for a couples weekend. Pool and deck was gorgeous with great views. The hotel is close to all downtown. Every sitting area throughout the hotel was done to perfection. You can spend a full weekend just in this hotel and it’s amenities if you wanted. The club room was an added bonus with great service. When they didn’t have the drink I wanted at the club bar, Dan went out and got it for me. 5 star service and hotel.

Wonderful hotel - have stayed there multiple times over the past 10 years. Service is excellent and room quality is very good. We stay at the across-the-street location. Only complaints were the bag breakfast was not delivered one morning (wish they would go back to the seated breakfasts of the past) and the evening cookies were stale several evenings. The valet parking was very expensive, $49 per night, but the service was excellent. Would not ask for a better location - walking distance to all wonderful restaurants and many museums. Will certainly go back next year.

I stayed here on a girl's trip to Charleston and was also able to use American Express points which was a bonus. (It was a LOT of points but the nightly room rate was quite high so I expected that). The hotel is beautiful, quiet but cool vibe, very understated. My room, while small, was quiet, well appointed (gorgeous chandelier) and the bed was SO comfortable. One thing I thought strange was that there were no in room coffee or espresso options. They did have a morning coffee self service stand in the lobby which was fine. There were also no places to grab a quick bite to eat to take on the go which would have been convenient. Two of the mornings I was there I didn't have time to either order room service or go sit in the lounge to order breakfast so I ended up eating a granola bar that I had with me since I was meeting people for other activities. The service across the board was excellent. The views from the Citrus Club were beautiful although service there seemed to be way too slow and the whole key card/wait for entry didn't quite seem necessary as we had to wait twenty minutes to get up there and found it 50% full (maybe a staffing issue?). Regardless, it is a lovely hotel, a block off of King Street. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, clean place, friendly staff and decent breakfast. Some of our petty, yet disappointments: both end tables were sticky and had not been clean for a while; could not run fan all the time on hvac unit; flat pillows and no in room microwave. Also, for light sleepers, be sure to request top floor. We were on second floor and could hear kids running and doors slamming all night. Would not hesitate to stay there again knowing these things.

The representatives were all very friendly and informative. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The pool was very nice but a bit cool due to it’s always in shade between the Hotel and the neighboring building. Complimentary breakfast was a variety. From dry cerial, to hot oatmeal or grits, to waffles to eggs and fried potatoes with peppers. Very Nice. Only one suggestion would be to add a couple of towel holder hooks or racks so to be able to reuse.

Tanya was amazing and so incredibly welcoming and kind. Sue was a great bartender but what made her stand out was I was talking about my experience at breakfast and said how well the staff was she gave me a card and told me to review the morning staff so people knew what a great experience I had. I loved talking to her and she could make a delicious drink but I loved she was a person who cared about those she worked with!! Jim, the guest ambassador was also a pleasure. Mostly because I didn’t know he was an ambassador until after I asked to sign up for vacation club. The hotel was clean. Great location and staff was amazing.
