6500 Hotel, Kuanzhai Alley, Citang Street Branch,Chengdu

I had an unforgettable 4-day stay at 6500 Hotel, Kuanzhai Alley, Citang Street. The experience was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, seamlessly blending modern comfort with traditional Chinese aesthetics. Every corner feels elegant and cultured, reflecting true craftsmanship and attention to detail. The service is impeccable — the butler team is extraordinarily attentive and polite. They responded instantly to every request through WeChat, even offering to wash and fold my clothes at any time. Their care and professionalism made me feel completely at home. Breakfast was a delight, beautifully presented and deeply rooted in local food culture. Everything was exquisite — from the delicate dishes to the elegant setup. I also loved the afternoon tea and supper options, with the flexibility to dine either in my room or in the lobby’s serene dining area. The facilities are top-notch: Le Labo bath amenities, smart AI systems, and a high-tech toilet that all worked perfectly. I appreciated being able to choose the firmness of my mattress and the type of pillow, which made sleep incredibly comfortable. Small thoughtful touches — like complimentary nail clippers and timely butler responses — really elevated the experience. 我在宽窄巷子祠堂街的6500酒店入住了四天，这次体验可以说是无可挑剔、令人难忘。 酒店环境极其优雅精致，将现代舒适与中国传统文化美学完美融合。无论是建筑、装饰还是细节，都展现出一种高级而有文化底蕴的气质。 服务非常出色——管家团队细致入微、礼貌周到，通过微信随时响应需求。无论什么时候，他们都能帮我清洗并叠好衣物，效率极高。让我感受到宾至如归的温度。 早餐十分精美，展现了本地的饮食文化，每一道菜都非常精致。我也很喜欢酒店的下午茶和夜宵，可以选择在房间或大堂餐区享用，既方便又舒适。 设施方面同样出色：Le Labo洗浴用品、智能AI系统以及高科技马桶都使用顺畅。还能根据个人喜好选择床垫软硬度和枕头高度，让睡眠体验更舒适。连赠送的指甲钳和及时响应的管家服务都体现出酒店的贴心与细致。 总体来说，6500酒店是一家兼具五星品质与文化气韵的精品酒店，舒适、优雅、服务极致，强烈推荐给追求品味与细节的旅人。

We were spoiled by the hotel services and the in room food services! The hotel is fairly new, super clean! This is small hotel which we preferred. The toiletry brand also is my favorite ( Le Labo- Santal33) they paid very much attention to the details which I pay attention when I select hotels. The location is perfect- cross from people’s park and close to metro station. We also offered photo shots from a professional photographer- Photos are stunning! We are definitely will come again and highly recommend this hotel!

Amongst Chengdu hotels, where standards are high, the new 6500 Hotel excels in providing something a bit different, and very Chinese. Located in the newly refurbished former offices of the CCP’s Xinhua Daily newspaper, within the refurbished Citaggai Artists District, it exudes good taste and high-style whilst remaining faithful to its history. The lounge has racks of old copies of Xinhua from 60s and 70s, with comfy armchairs in front of burning (actually fake) fireplace where they can be read. Rooms are particularly spacious , starting at 55 metres and evaluation of the rates needs to reflect guests being offered effectively 3 meals a day, with ‘afternoon tea’ and a ‘late night snack’ amply sufficient as a late lunch and dinner. Featuring local Sichuan delicacies much like a tasting menu. The morrell mushrooms were delicious, and I can’t remember last time my breakfast included oysters. Unlimited access to a laundry with the latest washing machines and tumble dryers is also valuable. The fitness room is small but has the very latest equipment. But as so often, it’s the staff that really make the difference. A good looking bunch of stylish youngsters - it’s a bit like being in a modelling academy - continuously delight with their confident charm, and an almost desperate willingness to please. Apart from one housekeeper, all staff are under 30. I admit, I was totally one over. Wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in Chengdu now. And it will only get better as the Citaggai development is completed – there are currently construction works although I didn’t hear them at night - and the location becomes perfect. Two points to note: there is no swimming pool, as might be expected in a relatively small property. And consistent with the low-light design concept, it’s relatively dark inside. Actually, replacing LEDs with a 50% higher output in some of the rooms would remove any grounds for complaint. But they’ve not done so yet. I guess due to the designers’/architects’ pursuit of purity!
